This 5-year-old has achieved seven victories at this track, with three of those wins coming over this C&D. Just 35 days ago she finished in third place, having veered right from the off and lost second place in the final 50 yards. She has maintained a strong run of form and is a solid contender worth considering for an each-way bet at a fair price.

He was a bit too free when winning at Southwell in the 5f handicap last time, but I think he can improve further this evening. He's going again over his best trip on the all??'weather. The 5 lb raise looks fair for a lightly raced sprinter who may progress now he has experience under his belt. The booking of Pat Cosgrave is a plus. With several pace angles in this field, he should get the strong gallop he needs to sit handy and strike late.

My Genghis is a solid performer with proven ability over this 5 on the all-weather, including course wins. Although he encountered some trouble and was short of room when finishing fifth last time, he is consistently in the mix and his solid form says he can bounce back. The removal of the hood and return to his preferred surface give him every chance to run a big race today. I expect him to be competitive, especially if he gets a clean trip.

I got the impression that Global Effort was eased coming into the turn last time out here six days ago after racing far too freely in the back straight. Could be in with an each-way chance if he can be covered up just behind the pace-setters.

This horse has shown little for this trainer so far, but has form in the book with the previous trainer over six furlongs. The drop down to just over five furlongs might show some improvement.
