Toby Two Scoops is yet to win a race but has shown plenty of promise. He was third here 27 days ago, and that form looks strong. The step up in trip is a bonus too.

Wor Lad ran a decent race on his handicap/seasonal bow when third at Carlisle. He must have hit almost every hurdle and looked to be run off his feet over 2m1f. He looked the second-best horse that day but tired on the run-in. Up in trip with Sean Bowen in the plate, any improvement should make the six-year-old tough to beat.

Forest Blaze has won 2 of his 13 starts and has been placed on 4 other occasions. He has been placed at Ayr in his last two starts, finishing 3rd of 19 last time off 100. Off the same mark here, in a first-time visor, he looks like a good each-way bet with 4 places on offer.

Really interesting stable-switcher as trainer/owner teamed up with Heeztheboy, who won on his yard bow and won another three times to be 33lb higher in the handicap. Previous trainer of RULER LEGEND hasn't managed a winner over jumps and the selection is certainly lurking on a dangerous mark. Some quick price cuts for him already, hopefully there is something in it.

Ionity has not been seen on a racecourse for over a year but looks worth taking a chance on. In total, he has raced seven times over hurdles. His last four runs saw him finish first once, second once, and third twice. He races off a mark four pounds higher than his last winning mark. Those four races were on soft and good-to-soft ground, with his sole success coming on good-to-soft. He appears to go well when fresh, so looks worth following for a place finish.

Goguenard won this race two years ago on soft ground. He was meant to run at Fontwell on Boxing Day with the ground being good to soft, but connections stated this was unsuitable and declared a non-runner. Today the ground will be very suitable with the rain appearing. The ten-year-old is by Bucks Boum, who will relish getting his toe into the soft to heavy surface. When he won this race a couple of years back, he carried eleven pounds over and won off 74. This afternoon he has five pounds more to play with, which I believe is well within his ability. Trainer D. Jeffery has come here with two runners, with being a few hours away from the track as his stables are at Hinton-on-the-Green, Worcestershire. I expect to see a solid performance with conditions being suitable for a big run. By the way, he has only raced four times in 2025. Plus, when he won here and followed up at Catterick with another win, he raced seven times without showing any good form. He can be coming good today.

Perfect Arch turned in a decent effort on his latest outing when placing third of nine at Doncaster. Today's distance and going should suit, as his career-best performance came in Ireland over two and a half miles on soft/heavy ground. Just under a year ago, on his only previous visit to Wetherby, Perfect Arch placed fourth after being noted keeping on approaching the last. Similar conditions today, but the horse is nine pounds lower in the weights.
