Justified favoritism when winning over fences debut over 2 miles at Uttoxeter last month. Likely more improvement to come over fences for this Dan Skelton 5-year-old.

Makes his seasonal reappearance. Back down to what looks like a workable mark. He won over CD on chase debut off an 8 lbs lower mark than this. He was quite impressive there, I felt, winning by just over 5L. That form doesn't look too bad with the 35L 3rd (Plisdon Pen) winning 2 of his next 3 runs, with the latest win coming off a mark of 111. He did manage to win off a 5 lbs higher mark than this at Kempton, beating Le Ligerien by a wide margin, with a 14L gap separating them at the line. Admittedly, he's lost his way since then. He failed to sparkle last season as well. He was forced to contest stronger races with his inflated mark (128), hence why he struggled. Now he's 14 lbs below that mark, freshened up by a break, returning to the scene of that impressive CD win. I think he could return to form here, particularly if strong in the market.

Regal Renaissance has clocked some decent times on good ground, which she gets today, and she scored impressively here by 5 lengths a year ago over CD. She has a 216-day absence to overcome, but generally goes well fresh.

This looks pretty wide open but I'm not really sure WILLIAM CODY should be much bigger in price than the majority of the field that are coming in at around 6 or 7 to 1. He runs fine fresh and on good ground and looks to have a workable handicap mark too. Tricky to rule out on that basis and given a go at this price.
