MCTED was a good winner last time out and whilst a rise of 4lbs raises another question I am certain that he is more than capable of improving enough to win this. The trainer is going well and this jockey is 3 wins from 4 rides so must be respected. This is her only ride of the meeting!

An open looking race and I think this one will take some beating and should be thereabouts. Good chance with 4 places on offer. Finished 2nd at Sandown back in July, in this class, on the same Good ground over a furlong further. The winner won again next time out. This distance should suit better.

Little Tiger looks seriously underrated here. Has some very good form over 10 furlongs and this slight drop in trip on what can be a testing track looks ideal.

The in-form trainer Jonathan Portman trained Bownder is 2 wins from 16 with 4 places in turf starts. The 3-year-old Belardo gelding has been consistent in his last 5 races, finishing 3, 2, 5, 4, 6. He did win back in June off a mark of 66 with Hector Crouch in the saddle. Hector is back in the saddle today for the first time since that win, and Bownder is back down to his winning mark of 66. In an open Class 5 handicap, I think he is a solid each-way play.

This horse has not finished out of the top 3 in his last 3 runs and now has Toby Moore on board who is riding out of his skin at the moment. The son of Ryan Moore has all the tools of his father and I expect him to go close here.

4th on last two runs, but one was at a further distance and the other on soft ground. Has placed runner-up in three of the last four prior and a win at Chepstow. Has a favoured high draw here, the ground is now preferred and wears cheekpieces to boost performance.

My Each Way selection for this one is DISTINCTION, a tough 7yo from the Mackie yard. He looks well in, having run to RPR's of 77 and 73 off a mark of 69, so he’s ahead of the handicapper at the moment. This is his grade, the visor works for him, the 1m-1m2f trip is ideal, and his form on good ground shows he’s reliable. With McDonald likely to get him into a good position off a steady pace, he makes solid each-way appeal.

Dropped 12 points and now off 70. Should be able to make the long trip to Newmarket a worthwhile journey.

This top weight, despite being 22/1, has an even better strike rate in this class than the 7/4 favorite and looks the clear value to me. He's still only a 4-year-old too, and the draw in stall 11 should be a good one judged by recent runnings over this course and distance. He won well off a 1 lb lower mark just a few starts ago for an apprentice and traveled so strongly in that race that you'd have to give him a serious chance here.

Hasn't shown its best but suggestions are there are more to give. Mid range finishes at Yarmouth and Southwell of late were improvements and this step up to 1m 1f seems the right fit.
