Top weight JPR One finished third in his last race at Cheltenham. Today he takes a step up in distance with a three-pound higher mark. In the hope that a step up in trip will be of benefit, JPR One should have a sporting chance of gaining his first success since November 2024.

The 8-year-old was a good 3rd of 12 in this valuable handicap last year, with an error at the last fence. He is 3 lb better off now. He’s in good shape, was runner-up in a strong contest two starts back, and was never in trouble five weeks ago when winning a Class 2 handicap by 3L. He looks set for a big run in this Class 2 handicap.
