He has been in rock-solid nick on turf this season, getting his head in front over 5f at Goodwood in May before putting in a storming runner-up effort at Salisbury over 5f late last month. While he carries top weight here off an official mark of 76, he is thoroughly battle-tested against much tougher Class 3 and 4 fields. Reunited with regular pilot Finley Marsh-who knows him inside out-he possesses a textbook tracking profile to sit just off the early pace and use his back-class to grind them down in the straight at around 9/2

Once again a generous 3 places in a 7-runner field. This one has improved with each of its three runs so far. There were encouraging signs latest when runner-up. Making its handicap debut tonight should at least make the frame.
