Ran OK on reappearance behind a couple of decent rivals and goes up in trip here. Entitled to come forward from this, and I think he's better than the bare result and can go close.

He showed absolutely nothing in his first four runs for this stable. One bumper run. Three runs over hurdles. He showed something to work with on his fourth run over the smaller obstacles, finishing a clear second behind Diamonds For Luck, beaten 3 lengths by the winner. He again bumped into one not on form, finishing a clear second behind Almuhit, beaten 5 lengths by the winner. He was giving 7 lbs to the winner. That horse went on to finish a close second in an ultra-competitive handicap at the Punchestown Festival, not on form. It's also worth mentioning he had the likes of Highlands Legacy (3rd), Kap Ouest (5th) and Bowenspark (6th) behind him. All those mentioned are useful horses in their own right. As mentioned above, he won on chase debut/seasonal reappearance last time out, beating an experienced chaser in Mahler Moon, with just over 2 lengths separating them at the line. He was giving 8 lbs to the winner too. He drops in trip this time. James Bowen takes the ride, with Nico riding the JP McManus-owned Khrisma over at Uttoxeter. Bowen is a great substitute.

David Pipe's 6-year-old had a moderate four runs over hurdles after being bought for £40k from Gordon Elliott's yard; however, he ran a stormer over C&D 16 days ago on his seasonal/chasing debut. That run suggests there's much more to come over fences, and just a repeat would put him right in the mix here.

Blue Las has always looked like a potential star chaser, and her overall form is very useful. She looks to have a fair bit of weight for her first run, but she is an imposing mare and carried 12 stone to victory in her last race.
