She started last year strongly when winning a Class 4 handicap over 1m4f on good-to-soft ground off 80, getting up by a short head in a competitive 0-80 contest. She then followed that with a solid effort at Epsom Downs Racecourse when third in another Class 4 handicap over the same trip. There is also plenty in her profile to suggest softer conditions will suit. She was second in a Class 4 Fillies’ handicap over 1m2f on heavy ground off 76 and has placed efforts at Bath Racecourse, Doncaster Racecourse, and Nottingham Racecourse on soft ground. Now down to 68 and dropping into a Class 5 handicap (0-70), she looks well treated if the return to turf sparks improvement. With Pat Cosgrave booked and rain forecast, Big Bear Hug could be dangerous.
