Respectable Jack is well drawn, and the yard seems to be hitting a degree of form. He has got to be in the mix here over this short distance.

Hasn't won in a while, so his mark is coming down. Blinkers are added, and I'm hoping he can get back in the winners' enclosure.

Has a wide draw today, but has been in such good form over the 6-furlong trip that I don't think this will be a problem. A previous course-and-distance winner should carry on its rich vein of form today.

Porfin lost/won at Lingfield three weeks ago in C6 off a 46, but lost it in the final strides here last week when a very close second off a 52. Last Thursday had a go at C5 off the same mark and was third. Could be worth another shot back in C6 today and still on a 52 with the same rider.

Purpendicular is a 4-year-old filly yet to break her maiden, showing glimpses of ability with a single placing from six starts. Trained by M. Murphy, she handles clockwise tracks and synthetic surfaces but hasn’t converted form into a win yet. With experience gradually building, she could be ready to step forward in the right race conditions.

Liricist is dropping to what looks a good mark now on 46, and I think that gives him a fair shot to get competitive again after a quiet run last time when he pulled too hard and faded. He is effective around 7f, and if Alistair Rawlinson can get him to relax early, I can see him sitting just off the speed and keeping on late at high odds.
