Bad developed into a decent chaser last season winning two chases over two and a half miles and both of those wins came in his only two visits to Kempton. He returns over slightly shorter but if fit and ready he should have every chance of making it three from three at Kempton.

Makes his seasonal reappearance here. Down to a mark of 128. Just 1 lb above the mark he defied to win this race on reappearance last term. He won this race pretty comfortably from the front last term. Despite making a blunder at the 2nd last fence, he still wasn't for passing, finding plenty to fend off the challenging Frere d'Armes by 1L. He struggled in stronger races after that, kind of lost his way. He only ran a decent race when running at this track, which proves he knows what to do to win/run well here. Looking at the forecast pace, there's only Rare Edition who could try to force it with him, which probably wouldn't suit him. Hopefully, he gets his own way out in front. He could prove difficult to peg back if allowed to dictate matters. Lack of run no bother as he won this race fresh last term.

Fringill Dike seems like a value outsider that has been well backed. The return to a left-hand track should help bring out plenty of improvement in this one.

Hoping the wind surgery that Gabriel's Getaway had can see the Getaway-sired gelding breathing well. This may have been found out on the gallops with a good workout, with the horse noticing his breathing is good. Gabriel's Getaway put three wins together last season, staying on well each time at the business end. Sam Twiston-Davies has ridden the eight-year-old the last twice and can get a good feel from his mount to be of solid interest here.
