Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore sent this one to the Punchestown Festival, with a sixth place at best. But with sending this bay gelding there, they must think highly of this gelding who could be proving useful here and landing this. I can see connections going forward with a better class race to come.

Needs to find old form when she won a £16K class 2 over course and distance in March this year off 102. Her third win at the track and is now back down to 1lb below that mark. Looks a big price on that evidence.

Seeks a hat-trick of course and distance wins under today's jockey and likely to make a bold bid from the front.

Most of these are pretty well exposed and probably not open to much improvement. One of the few that may have more to offer is the Rebecca Menzies-trained Joecooker. He's quite lightly raced for a six-year-old, and a few of his runs in the first part of the year suggest he might be competitive in a race like this. The trainer's runners have mainly gone well recently, so I'm hopeful of a good show from Joecooker.

Artic Mann is something of a Perth specialist but did win here way back in 2020 and was unlucky last time when a close 3rd at Perth despite being hampered when the leader fell two out when Artic Mann was closing. He could get at least a place under the same ten-pound claiming jockey, Dominic Hislop.
