He beat Shannon Royale just over 2L there. The aforementioned is now a 130+ rated horse over in Ireland for his current stable. He also boasts very strong form over fences.

Ben Pauling's De Kingpin, who is making his chase debut today, remains a maiden after six starts over timber. He has been placed on three occasions and today is having his first outing since finishing tenth of the thirteen runners at Ayr in April. He is dropped two lbs to a mark of 114 by the handicapper and also dropped back to two and a half miles here.

Race 5 at Ffos Las today is a Handicap (Class 3) over 3,898 m Chase for 4 y.o. and upwards. The going is reported to be soft. The suggested wager is for the each way on the 7yo gelding Donnacha from the AJ Hawke yard, and will be ridden by James Davies. This son of Jet Away has been rested since February and was in tip-top form, as well as still showing overall improvement. He has a total of 5 wins and 8 placings from 15, showing his consistency plus a touch of class. Strange to see him at such bloated odds.

Only weakened 2 from home on return run in a hot class 2 handicap over 2.4 miles @ Uttoxeter and entitled to come on for that run. Drops down to a class 3 here and did win in this grade off only 2lb lower mark last season @ Wetherby, is a C,D winner, good conditional retains ride taking off 3lb and top trainer is 19 percent here last 5 seasons, making current 12/1 solid Ew value in the race.
