While cruising through the slowing horses late and looking good, the jockey got urgent too late when realising not all were coming back. This is an ideal opportunity on a more straightforward course than Uttox. It presents a good chance to make amends.

He has finished 2nd three times in his last 5 races over the hurdle, all ridden by today's jockey Theo Gillard. He finished 2nd of 8 runners last time out at Exeter in a Class 5 novice handicap hurdle over 2m 1½f on good to firm going, staying on at the finish, beaten ¾ of a length. He is back in a Class 5 novice handicap hurdle over 2m 1½f on good to soft going. He has yet to win over the hurdles but has come close. He is a winner over the bigger obstacles. Has a decent each-way shout in this race today.

4th latest at Stratford in a field of eight back in October, but seems to be dropping down to a decent mark and goes off here after a wind op.

Down another 3 lb here, and with the stable knocking out the winners, this one is worth an each-way bet. Cheekpieces replace visor and should go well.
