3rd in a Group 2 at Newmarket. Probably the best form on offer here and had excuses last time at Naas, so likely to go close.

Down significantly in class, having run in a GP2 and Listed race the last twice. Just outstayed over a furlong further last time after having looked to have made a winning move. This drop back in trip will suit.

Can progress now with an easier track than Epsom and looks like one of the most talented animals in the race. The flat 6 and a half furlongs may bring a couple of lbs of improvement from its debut, and I think the price is wrong here. Aiden O'Brien's horse looks promising but is 10 lbs behind Jel Pepper on form, who looks less progressive. This horse has raced only 2 times to their 3 and ran just as impressively in terms of numbers. I think this has every chance and looks tasty at 7/1 in my opinion.

This horse is a January foal and, as such, is going to have an advantage over most of his rivals here. He also has the necessary amount of experience, having had 4 runs, with that being the bare requirement for 4 of the last 5 winners of the race. That stat alone takes out quite a chunk of the runners. The major factor, though, is the quality of horses that he has been beating or finishing close to. He's also entered in the big Listed race at Redcar.

This looks Jel Pepper’s to lose on the face of his Newmarket effort ahead of Brussels, who he meets on far better terms here. 7/2 about him doesn’t appeal for betting purposes in a race like this, though, and whilst top-rated Tadej has to also be respected, I’m minded to give Rising Empire a chance again. Slowly away in the Woodcote, he did good late work under little pressure, suggesting a horse that should find some improvement for the increased trip. A debut effort over 5f reads well behind Coppull, whilst also pointing to the fact he could appreciate a bit more ease in the ground than he’s got in his last two starts. Ultimately, a mark of 83 looks to underestimate his ability, so on these terms, I think he can get involved at a fair price if things fall right.

A talented performer who secured a 6f French Group 3 victory at the start of August has since struggled in a sales race during the York Ebor meeting. A comeback is essential, and it seems probable with both the Watson stable and jockey Hollie Doyle showing good form. With 5 places available, an each-way bet at 12/1 presents excellent value.

Solid form as a 2-year-old and from a top stable known for 2-year-old winners here at Doncaster. Nice draw in 4 to attack from and should have each-way hopes here at a big price.
