Last month Glengouly raced over today's course and distance from seven pounds out of the handicap and won by just over a length at 33/1. That was by far the best performance this horse has shown. In winning that race he ran off a mark three pounds lower than what he races off today. Hopefully his last visit to Cheltenham was not a fluke, and he can follow that up with another round of good jumping and get the win.

TWINJETS has hit the ground running this season, winning both of his starts so far. His seasonal reappearance came after a 330-day absence. He made every yard of the race to win convincingly off a mark of 137. He was even more impressive off a mark of 141 last time, kicking clear to win by 10 lengths, having once again been allowed to dictate matters out in front. The handicapper has raised him a further 7 lb for today, but this looks like a 9-year-old who is thriving and should be able to defy that hike in the weights and land the hat-trick.

Stable saddles two runners in this and both have a good chance. This one is the outsider of the two, but there is nothing between them. This one is a regular runner and twice a winner here around this trip, off a mark of 138, the latest under this jockey in Nov 2024. His recent form has dipped from higher marks, but he runs off only 1lb higher than both his wins here and is taken to return to winning ways under the last winning jockey.

The 10-year-old has not been over-raced in his career, and he has four chase wins to his name. He seems in good shape. He was only a length down when falling at the last on his return in late October. He was only beaten a short head over this 20.5f course and distance during January in a similar £50K+ handicap chase. He is 2 lb lower now, and the better ground can help his chances.
