She finished nine lengths second of seven runners behind the Mrs. J. Williams-trained La Luna Artista. With improvement likely and G. Sheehan back in the plate, she can go one place better today.

I think some odds compilers have got this very wrong here. This Masked Marvel filly, trained by Anthony Honeyball, was well backed on debut over C&D before being placed. She can gain compensation here on this better ground. She's bred to be very decent, and it's more likely that the horse needed the race rather than lacking the required quality. At this price she's surely worth giving a second chance (went off 11/10 on debut).

Toby Bulgin has got a 19% win strike rate with his bumper horses this season, and his True Measure looks like another potential winner for the stable. He is by Nathaniel, the same sire as his first-time-out winner at Wincanton last week.

Soldi is intriguing for me as she is by Capri out of a Malinas mare who won between the flags and placed over fences. Her pedigree screams stamina and jumping ability. Brian Hughes taking the ride is another eye-catcher for me also.

She makes her debut today, but her pedigree suggests she could run well. Her dam was closely related to bumper winners Suvretta and Where's Maud Gone, and she was also related to smart bumper winner William Henry.
