Course and distance winner Zebra Star is a proven performer at this level. She is racing off a winning mark with ground conditions in her favor.

Off Spin's consistency could be rewarded here. After a couple of third-place efforts, this race looks a little easier on paper, so hopefully that can make the difference.

Rare runner for the stable at this track makes handicap debut on a basement mark and cheekpieces applied now so could see a much improved run coming. No form in three starts so far but this longer trip tried today may bring out much more having been outpaced in three sprint races.

Front-running sort who was able to hold on to win two starts back. Will relish these quicker conditions and should be able to make a bold bid in this contest.

A old favourite and now 11 years old but can never be underestimated in these races. He drops another 2 lb in the handicap and, despite being out of form, reserves his best for Ayr and will appreciate the better ground.
