He won first time up over fences over CD. Admittedly it was only a 3-runner affair. But he was giving the best part of a stone to the 4/5 favorite Viroflay. He absolutely hammered him, with just under 4L separating them at the finish. He ran even better in defeat last time out when pitched into this grade. He was well backed, sent off a 5/1 shot having opened at double-figure odds. He ran a cracker behind the high-class winner Wendigo, beaten just 2L by the winner, with the well-thought-of Regents Stroll a further 4L adrift in third place. For me, that is the standout form in this field. Regents Stroll has won since as well, even if it was a farcical 2-runner race. He's clearly well thought of. I think this lad has got even more to give. This race doesn't look deep for the grade. We know he likes the course. I think he is good enough to win this race if he repeats the last run.
