The Passing Wife underperformed in a Grade 1 hurdle last time, but this three-time bumper winner, who goes well on heavy, was a close third in both a maiden hurdle and a Grade 2 hurdle in his first two starts this season. He has more experience than the favourite Doctor Du Mesnil, who lost by just a nose in his first hurdle race, but the first two were given the race by El Cairos stumbling and falling after the final flight with the race all but won.
