Blaze the Way won a staying handicap chase by five lengths at Cheltenham from near the bottom of the handicap, getting 24 pounds from the second, L'Homme Pressé. But that horse franked his ability yesterday by almost winning the Grade 2 Cotswold Chase. Under the testing conditions at Naas, Blaze the Way is the most likely to be around at the finish.

The Enabler represents the powerful Gigginstown House Stud/Gordon Elliott combination. In his three races over fences, the horse has shown himself to be a better performer over the bigger obstacles. He goes well on a galloping track, with a standout career-best performance at Fairyhouse. The Enabler steps up in distance to 24.5 furlongs, and it looks from his pedigree as if this will suit. Conditions appear right for a good run for his stable, which saddled a Cheltenham winner on Saturday.
