My selection for this race is GARNETOT, a progressive 4yo making his handicap debut for the powerhouse Gordon Elliott yard. He looks purpose-built for today's demanding conditions; his pedigree (by No Risk At All) screams stamina on soft ground, and his recent second over a similar trip confirmed his aptitude. A guaranteed strong pace will play to his strengths, and he looks potentially well-treated off a workable opening mark (OR 105). With top course jockey Jack Kennedy booked, he appears laid out for this and could be much better than his current rating suggests.

Teenage Kiss ran well on penultimate start and handicap hurdle debut at Wexford. Led at the last there, against some useful sorts. Got worked up before next race and may return better for the short break. 4yo filly with good jumps pedigree by Walk In The Park out of a Galileo mare. Conditions should suit and Charlie O'Dwyer claims a useful 5 pounds allowance from a mark of 100.

This one will be fitter for the last time out run, and they have got the same jockey on board. A good value each way bet for the 4 places available.

Yard's runners usually do well here, and the trainer won a couple of these races last year. Back over hurdles on a lower mark... looks to be set to make a nice run, hopefully.

A Snow White Park is a 4-year-old filly trained by Ms. Margaret Mullins. She is another sired by top-class sire Walk In The Park. She was a long-priced winner at Ballinrobe but needs to step up on the form of two handicap attempts. Today, she's some 3lb lower and looks to have been found an easier opportunity off top weight. She should appreciate the step up in trip, being out of a dam that won over 2m 4f and handled today's cut in the ground, winning on soft to heavy ground.
