The last two runs have produced speed figures ahead of anything in the field, with LTO being faster than his win two starts ago. Only carrying 3 lbs more today, so can hopefully go fast again.

Top weight Alex Belardo has been placed in 3 of his last 4 runs and looks interesting in this Dundalk handicap. He has not won since September last year off 57 at Down Royal. He has, though, finished 3rd of 14 at Roscommon in September, runner-up at Ayr later that month, and was then 3rd over course and distance last week, beaten just a neck and short head. That was off 57, but raised 2 lbs, he is 1 lb better off with the reopposing Smaoineamh Sile and looks a good EW bet with 4 places on offer.

They are stepping this one back up in trip slightly with an interesting jockey booking/change, as this is his only ride of the day. A good value each way bet for the 4 places available.

Endless Dawn is still a maiden, but her last two runs after returning from a three-month break looked promising. She placed three lengths 7th over course and distance a week ago. She was behind three runners who have returned here too, who were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively, but she could turn the tables if there is further progress.

What an absolute minefield, who said these 0-60's were easy to call? Unless I win I'll end up being annoyed with myself because I've pretty much at one point made a case for a big bulk of the runners. I've gone for one of the less exposed here in the shape of Denis Hogan's 3 year old Gelding SPORTING ACLAIM who looks much more comfortable at the 1 mile mark following up an improved run @Gowran Park on Penultimate 5¾f on Heavy Ground & then followed up with a 6th 2½ length finish over this trip here on Halloween. Handicapper has shed 2lbs which 'in theory' would bring him bang there. I am a little perplexed as to why 10lb Claimer has been replaced he didn't look to be doing anything wrong but either way 5lb Claimer Jack Cleary gets the leg up but other than that at 18's this unexposed lad looks to be headed in the right direction & should be better ready after a quick turnaround (7 days - Trainer has a 31.82% place strike rate when doing this) then hitting the Frame wouldn't be a forlorn hope.

Camachero is a long-standing maiden, who has one placed effort back in January over CD, finishing 3rd off a 6lb higher mark. The latest run was the first time back on the AW in 6 months, but he weakened at the finish after running prominently from his wide draw. Drawn wide again tonight, but a more restrained ride could see him go close to losing that maiden tag.

Looks like the value play, all things considered. He's effective over 7f-1m on this surface, has course know-how, and an easing mark that gives him a workable platform. The yard won this race last year.
