He had a win and two places in his seven runs in bumpers, with the win coming at this track. His hurdles form has been nothing to write home about, but he did have his best finish yet when fourth of 15 at Killarney. He should come on from that today.

Plenty of guesswork with this unraced 5-year-old trained by Barry Connell, whose team won this corresponding race last year. They have a habit of getting their horse ready first time, but it's only a low-stakes each-way chance.

Crystabel has placed over this distance and on this going, and his third at Sligo was pretty decent. He’s not far off the level he’s pitched at today. He stays two miles well and loves good ground, so conditions are on his side. To me, he looks a solid place chance and has enough ability here.

Lightly raced gelding with solid placed form on good ground, shaping better than bare results. Stays well, handles conditions, and could take a step forward in first-time tongue-tie.
