Bahrain Championship Tips

Young, talented player with nine top-10 finishes toward the end of last season. This course seems to suit this Spaniard.

I like the look of Daniel Hillier in this market. He has been so consistent of late. He has already won at this level and on a course that will play to his strengths. He should have a decent chance of winning.

Won this last year in a three-man playoff, so I'm happy to back him at very good odds this week in an OK comp that isn't that deep.

Couvra didn't have the best of weekends with the putter last time at the Dubai Desert Classic. However, he still finished 10th in what was a stronger field than this one. Even if he doesn't putt that well again, he should still figure this weekend. Traditionally, putting isn't the be-all and end-all here, with greens in regulation and driving accuracy being more important.

Struggled in the past here, so a lot won't fancy him. But he was going into the weekend in 4th position before falling apart. Looks to have the game for this place.

Struggled with the step up in class on the PGA Tour last season, but had an incredible 2024 on this tour, so I fancy him again.

Andy Sullivan finished second in the Dubai Desert Classic, and although four points behind the eventual winner, he will be happy with the start to the new year.

Dan Bradbury has shown small signs of improvement over the last few events he played in , played well when Tied for 41st place in the Dubai Classic in his most recent event. Dan usually shows good form around this time of year so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him do well in this Bahrain Championship.

This bloke can play this game very well and has good course form, so I'm happy to back him each way this week. These boys have only just started this season, and maybe course form will help some of them.

Course form is in the bank with Joakim this week. Played OK a couple of weeks ago, so happy he is going to hit the ground running after a very good season last year.

Roman Langasque finished 33rd last week in the tournament in Dubai. All his four rounds were consistent around the 70 mark. He could get a top-five position.

Signs of better form and improvement shown by Callum Hill in that most recent event he played in where his all-round game looked good. He's usually reliable with the putter , the greens on this course should suit his type of game.

Sebastian Soderberg will be needing to find some improvement on what he's shown over the last few months so this is a risky tip but, he has ability , often plays well on courses similar to this and he usually shows some of his better form around this time of the season.

Big punt this, but over the years he has been a winner several times on this tour, and I'm hoping he can make his aggressive style work this week.

After winning the Dubai Desert Classic last week on the DP World Tour, I am tipping the American will carry that form over this week. Patrick Reed is tipped to have another good run in Bahrain on the Gulf Swing.

The American was fourth last year in Abu Dhabi, and I am tipping he will have another good week in the Gulf. Last year was a really good year for Davis Bryant, with a host of top-20 finishes, including a top-five at the BMW International. My tip is he can finish as one of the top Americans.

There are a few with good chances in this market, but I am going to side with Angel Ayora, who is progressing well. Based on recent form, she should have a big chance to land this outright and certainly be the top European.
