Celtic v St Mirren Tips

I see Celtic as favourites given their quality and form, though St Mirren will fight hard and have ambitions in the cup. Still, the Saints have not been impressive and lost 1-0 in the last H2H in the SPL. I see a narrow win for Celtic at Hampden Park.

Nothing about Celtic's season entitles them to be the usual short price. Yet, over and over again, there is no value in their odds. St Mirren should be competitive and are the value price over 90 minutes.

These sides met in the league last weekend, with Celtic coming away with a 1-0 win??'a result they were lucky to get. They looked toothless in attack, as they have done for much of this season. Celtic striker Tomáš Čvančara is struggling in front of goal, having just found the net once for the Hoops since he made his loan move in January. Iheanacho looks more of a threat in front of goal but is unlikely to start due to lack of match fitness. St Mirren controlled much of the game at Parkhead, particularly in the second half, without really threatening Celtic's goal. The fact that this is a cup semi may add a cagey element, so I think another low-scoring affair is likely. Under 3.5 at 1.57 is the more conservative bet and good value at this price. Either way, I think a goal fest is unlikely here.
