I don't think Kostyuk is such a heavy favorite; Jasmine may be thirty, but she gives plenty of young players-like Eala, whom she beat in three sets yesterday-a real run for their money. The Italian plays a very energy-intensive style of tennis, though she will have plenty of time to recover. She will still have to cover a lot of ground against Kostyuk, however. If Paolini were a bit taller, she might be able to hit aces, but her angled serve is already causing her opponents plenty of trouble. Kostyuk will try to play with power and aggression, but Paolini can easily give anyone a hard time. The main thing is to avoid those dips in form; they happen to her often, and if that occurs, the match could drag into a third set. But it is best to avoid that here, given that Kostyuk can rely on her mental strength and willpower to pull off a win. All in all, I think Paolini is still in the mix, and with the top three seeds all out, this is a great opportunity for her to make a real run at it.
