Preference here goes to the Richard Hannon runner, Witch Hunter. Very good 4-year-old that's not been in the same form this year. Switches back to the AW with a bit to prove, but he's coming off a break and that may just freshen him up in mind and body. Ran well in a Listed event at Wolverhampton behind Royal Zabeel in March. That's a 110-rated horse now and given level draws he only had 2lb to find. That leaves him well treated if in the same mood. Acts on the surface and he looks the overall pick on form. Wide draw to contend with and that may be a sticking point, but at the prices, he looks an interesting each-way poke.

Preference here goes to the James Horton runner, Dashing Harry. Arrives with a bit to prove, having not shown up at Chelmsford on latest. Quickly eased down soon after the start. Holds bits of form over these conditions that can't entirely write him off here. Back after a long break that may just do the trick. The quick removal of cheek-pieces could prove positive too. Looks to be operating off a workable mark, and with 5lb separating these on form, it's not out of the realms of possibility he can cause a huge upset.

Preference here goes to the Richard Hannon runner, Talis Evolvere. Previous C&D winner that looks the pick on form. Bit below form on his latest effort at Ascot in a very competitive 0-105 over a mile on good-to-firm. This is a bit of a step back in grade, and he's more than capable of defying 9st 13lb having run well at Ascot last year off a 7lb higher mark. Gets his conditions, and if taken out to lead he could be hard to pass. Goes well here, and Joe Leavy knows how to get this horse over the line.

Preference here goes to the Jim Goldie runner, Oriental Prince. Holds a tidy profile having won six times on the AW. Previous C&D winner that was in terrific form earlier in the year notching up a hat-trick of wins over 6f, albeit in a lower level of racing. Hasn't quite gone to plan on turf, but he got up in front of stable mate, Abduction at Haydock over 7f, in May off a 2lb lower mark. On level terms he had 1lb to find off an 80 rated horse, so he's on a handy mark if putting it all together. Looks competitive on form against the favorite.
