Both matches earlier this year in the league and Scottish Cup both ended in 2-1 wins for Celtic and I do think tonight they open the new season with a win but no clean sheet, I think the champions won with both teams scoring.

Celtic won both matches this year with Dundee 2-1. Thirty three goals in the last nine home games against them and I do think Celtic will score three tonight and I think Dundee get one in a 3-1 win for the champions.

The two meetings this year were 2-1 wins for Celtic and they beat them 6-0 at home last year and 7-1 at home the year before so I I do think there will be goals in this Monday night game and I think it has over 2.5 goals.

Celtic won both matches this year with Dundee 2-1 and I do think they are going to open the new season with a home win at Parkhead to kick start a new campaign of Scottish Football.

There has been two head to head meetings this year and both had both teams to score. Dundee FC scored plenty of goals pre season and I do think they will get one tonight away to Celtic.

The last nine head to head were five Wolves wins and four draws and I do think with the likes of Trippier and Jimenez brought in that Wanderers will start the season with a home win on Friday night.

Wolves beat Blackburn 2-0 last year in the FA Cup and the three previous meetings were draws. In the last seven head to head it was four Wolves wins and three draws and I think Wanderers will win this 2-1 on the opening night.

Since February time the away record for Blackburn Rovers was good with wins at QPR, Millwall, Birmingham and Sheffield United. Wolves will want to start well at home and I do think on the opening night there will be both teams scoring.

Wolves will want to make a winning start to life back in the Championship. Blackburn had some good form away from home since February during last season and I do think this will be a good game with both teams scoring but Wolverhampton Wanderers get the win.

Leicester City got a points deduction last season and they have kept a decent squad with plenty of experience dropping down from the Championship. I do think The Foxes will be promoted straight back to the second tier and I think they will start with a win away to Notts County.

Bolton came through the play offs last season to get promoting from League One. They have always been good at home and with the last two against Preston being 1-0 and 2-0 wins I think Bolton win to nil and BTTS will be No.

Bolton have won the last two matches with Preston North End 1-0 and 2-0 and I do think back in the Championship after winning the League One Play Offs last season that Wanderers are going to beat Preston to nil on the opening weekend.

Bolton beat Preston 2-0 at home last year and they have won the last two head to head. Bolton came through the League One Play Offs last season and I do think they are going to start life back in the Championship with a home win today.

The last two times Bolton and Preston met it ended in Under 2.5 goals. Wanderers have beaten North End at home the last two times and neither had more than two goals so I do think this is going to be a under 2.5 goals.

Middlesbrough finished fifth in the Championship last season and ended up losing in the Play Off Final to Hull City. Lincoln City were promoted from League One and I do think they will quickly feel the difference in class going up a division and I think this will be a Boro win.

Norwich City beat West Brom home and away last season and since 2024 they have beaten them three times at home so I think Norwich are going to start the new season with a win.

Two of the last four matches between Stoke City and Swansea ended in draws and they were both at the Stoke City stadium. I do think today will be an opening draw for both teams in the Championship.

One of the meetings last season ended 1-1 and I do think todays opening fixture is going to end in a draw as Charlton Athletic and Derby County look two evenly matched teams ahead of the new season.

Last season when Queens Park Rangers went to Portsmouth it ended 1-1. Four in five meetings at Fratton Park were draws and I do think this opening fixture ends in another draw.

Millwall beat Bristol City home and away last season and I do think they will win this afternoon. Four wins in seven at Bristol City and I think this will be a Millwall win.

Bromley have not had a good pre season and since March they have five defeats and two draws. Barnsley is a tough place to go and I think they will beat newly promoted Bromley at home.

Huddersfield won the last head to head 4-0 and in the only two head to head they have scored seven goals agsinst Wimbledon so I do think todays game will see Huddersfield Town start with a win.

Four of the last five head to head were draws and the last seven times Blackpool hosted Wycombe it ended in a draw. I think this afternoon in League One both teams start with a draw and a point each.

In the last nine matches between Sheffield United and Birmingham City there has been four draws. The last time they played was March and it ended 1-1 and I do think todays game will be a draw.

Arsenal have won all five head-to-head matches since the year 2000, and the last time Coventry went to the Gunners they lost 4-0. On the opening night, I think the champions are going to be a class above the promoted Coventry City.

Manchester City have won all eleven home games against Bournemouth from last season all the way back to 1998. In the last four seasons Bournemouth have conceded sixteen at the Etihad Stadium. I do think City will start life after Pep with a home win.

Liverpool have a very good record away to Newcastle United and have won four of the last five at St James' Park. Newcastle haven't beaten the Reds at home since 2015, and I do think this will be a first win for new manager Iraola.

It's life after Marco Silva for Fulham, and I do think we will see a new-look Chelsea under Xabi Alonso, starting with a win. The Blues have won six times in their last away matches at Craven Cottage, and I think Chelsea will get an opening win.
