All ACTION PLAN's best runs have come on good ground, and he has those conditions today. With allowances, he's carrying a featherweight, and that might be enough to upset the odds.

Favourite Los Blanco finished a close second on debut in a race where the form is working out well, but that was 88 days ago and ground conditions are very different today. Second favourite Zoffman has also only raced once over hurdles and produced a respectable 14-length second to Le Grand Peinture 12 days ago. There is a line of form through that winner where POLEMAN finished 1/2 length behind that winner but was carrying 4lb more in the race before that on 2nd March. POLEMAN finished 5th that day but was only 2 lengths behind the winner. These are the only three realistically with chances and I rate POLEMAN the best of them.

EDNA E MODE (50/1) showed significant improvement two weeks ago to finish 9 lengths 4th over 2m 3f on good ground. She was prominent for the most part but faded on the run-in so today's 2m 7f is a slight concern. She did make a couple of jumping errors though and they may have contributed to her final position behind two decent horses at this level. With only 2 places up for grabs in this 6-runner race, we'll keep the stakes small but the top two in the market have also never raced this far and their form isn't exciting. She has a 1st 8lb less to carry and she's top rated on Geegeez Speed Ratings so worth a dabble!

This looks like it will be fought out between the top two in the market on form, but MEXICAN STAN (125/1) has a good chance of filling the third spot and at the odds giving a very nice return. Showing marked improvement on only his second run over hurdles recently, that form is the best of the rest and Lee Edwards returns to the saddle so should be used to getting a tune out of him. Worth a small each-way!
