Love all sports but particularly interested in Horse Racing, Football and Golf. From a betting point of view I look to find situations were I think that the price doesn't reflect the selections true chance. This is more likely with some of the so called minor sports. Needs a lot of study and watching lead up events or races but this is what I really enjoy.I live in Central Scotland and work in eastern Europe so have a lot of time on my hands when travelling.

Run at York came after nearly a year off so should be fitter today and this is a much easier assignment. Joe Fanning is great in these types of races and is in fine form with six winners in the last two weeks. Now thirteen pounds below his highest mark and seven below the last winning one at Newbury. Has some hurdle runs under his belt and won't have any issues getting home over this trip on a track that suits staying types.

First run for this new yard and the switch to a smaller establishment could be beneficial. This is the second run after a break and clearly needed the Yarmouth run should strip fitter tonight. Interesting that they have secured Rossa Ryan which is a big plus and the jockey is currently operating at a near twenty five percent strike rate. The horse has all weather wins to his name at Chelmsford and Newcastle and if the new trainer can get him anywhere near that level he is way overpriced.

The key here is the step up in trip to nine furlongs and this is the furthest distance he has run. The trainer and jockey continue to bang in the recent winners and have both had a fine season. Best run so far was over this course and distance and it often pays to follow horses that like it here. Shane Gray has been in top form with five recent winners. Handicap mark looks fair and gives her a chance in this. Underfoot conditions look ideal when you consider how she has run and what conditions she has faced. This is a race that doen't look as if there are any surprise packages so looks winnable.

Consistent horse who rarely runs a bad race and they may have found an opportunity to add to the three previous wins. Will find this much easier than the hot contest at York last time. Connor Beasley is up again and that is a positive given the season he is having. Because he is consistent he doesn't move much in the handicap but has won off a mark seven pounds higher than this in the past.

I'm prepared to ignore the last run at York, a track that doesn't suit some horses. Prior to that he won the Thirsk Hunt Cup and that form is good enough to win this. Lightly raced and clearly needed the race at Lingfield last time out. Should be much fitter tonight. The trainer has been in the winners recently with a twenty per-cent strike rate over the last two weeks. The jockey could hardly be more confident at the moment with eight winners in a fortnight and a strike rate of thirty two per cent. He is also excellent at this tricky track. The horse will surely be better than this lowly mark in time and this looks a poor race.

Wouldn't normally tip one up in a two year old race for newcomers but couldn't resist this one at the price. The trainer is in good form with three recent winner. He often produces first time up winners with youngsters and has a decent record at this track. Will get further than this trip and I often think that is an advantage here as it can be difficult to get home for pure sprinting types on this course. Rab Havlin is really good with young horses. This is an open race with a lot of top yards involved and at the prices, this one appeals.

A reproduction of his fine win at Ascot last October wins this. The yard are often worth a second look in flat races like this and have been in the winners over jumps. Oisin Murphy is an excellent booking and is showing his hunger for winners by riding all over the place at the moment.
