Clear choice on form and ratings for Precise, trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Ryan Moore. Four wins as a 2-year-old, including the Prestige at Goodwood, the Moyglare at the Curragh, and, most importantly, the Group 1 Fillies' Mile here at Newmarket in good style. She showed an electric burst of speed that day to close from the back. Reports from the yard have been very positive.

It's 2000 Guineas Day at Newmarket, the first Classic of the season, and Distant Storm, trained by Charlie Appleby, holds a great chance. The key bit of form could be his third in the Dewhurst here at Newmarket over 7f back in October 2025. Sent off 9/4, he never settled when off a strong early pace. When asked to move closer it looked hard work, and he got slightly impeded a couple of times in a very messy race. He was not asked too many questions when his chance had gone. He should be on the premises again with a clear run.

A handicap of 80 seems fair following two wins in maiden and novice company. He looks a fine big horse. Gelded over the winter and an obvious improver, he looks missed in the market for Willie Haggas.
