The feature race of the day at Haydock is the Betfair Sprint Cup over 6f, and as usual, it's a very competitive 17-runner race. Well-backed favorite Lazzat takes up plenty of the market at 2/1, but from the same owners, Kind of Blue at 10/1 has an outstanding chance. 2nd last year when a 14/1 chance, and although this season hasn't gone to plan yet, it can all change here and at Ascot in October. Acts on the surface, and although drawn in 19, the track bias may not be so pronounced this year.

Trainer Richard Fahey won this race last year and has a good chance with Stormy Impact, currently a 7/2 chance. But I like his second string, Tropical Island, who traveled to Ireland last time to win a valuable and very competitive fillies race in good style. The second that day was Joseph O'Brien trained Princess Child, who followed up with a victory in a tough handicap at Galway. Sure to go well and ridden positively from the front.
