Although Willie Mullins' son Patrick is the second choice for the yard here, he loves nothing more than watching his son win at a big meeting like Irish National Day. With a bumper win under his belt at Cheltenham last year, he's followed up with three good, solid second places. At around 13/2, he is a great each-way price to go one better today.

Despite rearing in the stalls last time, HE'S A CRACKER still got up rather easily to win. He's 3 lb higher, but bearing in mind the bad start, I think he could be ahead of the handicapper in the finale.

Although 6f looks on the sharp side these days for Von Krolock, he pulled hard last time out when tiring close home, probably due to wasted energy in the early stages of the race. Hopefully today he'll settle better and might even make a bold bid from the front. At around 9/2 he looks a cracking bet for a busy Easter Monday of racing.

This is trainer Chris Gordon's favourite track for winners with Tom Cannon aboard. Superstylin has been in superb form all season: 232121. He was very unlucky, finishing 2nd on his last visit here on 26th Jan when he lost a right fore shoe, which probably cost him the win. I expect he will get compensation today for the trainer, who sponsors one of the races on the card.

Trainer Karl Burke is in great form at the moment. Pendella has been given a recent handicap rating of just 78 in a Class 4 race. In my opinion, she is well ahead of the handicapper after winning quite cosily at Wolverhampton last time over 1m 1½f. Certainly not overstretched, and around 15/8 looks the standout bet of the day!

This horse won quite convincingly over course and distance at the end of January before running well again until hanging badly on the tough uphill finish at Sedgefield to come second. It soon got back on track to win again at Southwell last time. This is no harder, and I expect it to follow up.
