This looks to be quite a weak race, but Spitalfield stands out for me. He hasn't produced anything noteworthy in his recent outings, but his handicap mark has dropped to 100, 2 lbs lower than his last success, which came on similar ground. His best work came last summer, when he made the frame on a couple of occasions on good ground. Conditions today will suit, and he could be entering a time of year when he peaks. Trainer Jonjo O'neill typically does well at Warwick with a 17% strike rate over the past 12 months.

This filly has given a pretty good account of herself this season. She stayed on for a course-and-distance second last month, and that was against the boys. She steps into female company today, which should be a plus. Ground shouldn't be an issue, and a claiming jockey taking off a valuable 5 lb is a plus. Each-way chance.

Local trainer Jeremy Scott does particularly well at this course with just shy of a 17% strike rate over the past 12 months. He has two mares here, but Miss Tiara seems the value bet for me. She ran well over course and distance last month, was held up and stayed on for third that day. She had top weight to contend with and was no match for the winner, who happens to be the market leader here. I think with that run under her belt and the market leader carrying an 8 lb penalty for last time out, she could go much closer here.

Flying Fortune was on the improve in 2024, running in much stiffer contests than this one. She's had a lengthy layoff and, upon return, has shown very little to be excited about. Those two runs may have been needed, and she's back down to just 1 lb over her last winning mark. Sean Bowen's choice of ride as Olly Murphy has Atlantic City in the race.

This mare has ran two good 2nds at this course in her last two outings. In February she was beaten just 3/4 of a length by A Path To Ronda, who looks a nice prospect from Jamie Snowdon's yard. She wandered in the closing stages that day, which may well have cost her the race, but it's that form that stands out for me today. She's a stone better off than the market leader, and James Bowen on board adds confidence.

Delgany Deadline has taken well to chasing this season. He was second here earlier this month when he led over the last and was caught on the run-in by Milan Milos, who he did give weight to that day. He gets a fair bit of weight from his market rivals here and, back down in trip, I think he takes all the beating here.

Penn Avenue is certainly the value bet in this race. This filly gains a fair bit of weight from the rest of the field, and she has regularly been thereabouts this season. She ran a good third in February at Hereford, beaten that day by Just A Glance, who has franked that form, running well in a Listed contest earlier this week at Haydock. Harry Cobden on board adds confidence. Each-way chance.

This four-year-old won comfortably on his yard debut for Paul Nicholls at Sandown last month in a juvenile handicap. Jockey Harry Cobden barely asked a question of him that day and he looked really impressive. He ran well in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham for most of the race and was still in contention approaching the last, but didn't quite stay the hill. This ground should pose no issues for him, and he should be competitive here. Each-way chance.

Findendum's old form suggests he's a class above a contest of this nature. Last time out he was beaten 2 lengths by Wellington Arch, who has certainly gone on to frank that form since, most recently with a win at Aintree last week. He also finished ahead of Indemnity that day, another horse that has shown plenty of promise and now runs off a mark of 134. The only concern I have is the 408??'day layoff. However, if he can pick up somewhere close to where he left off, nothing in this field should trouble him.

Lunar Ocean is yet to find a win despite finishing 2nd on a number of occasions. He gains a lot of weight today from this well??'fancied favourite, who likes the course, but to me could be vulnerable. I think Lunar Ocean could well break his duck today.

Manigod has ran well in all four of his starts over hurdles. After three second-place finishes, he managed to win comfortably on his handicap debut last time out. He's up 7 lb for that Ludlow victory, and this looks to be a stiffer task. I think there's nice value here, and if he can build on last time he could go close.

This looks a fairly weak contest, and not much takes my eye outside of the market leader. Feet On The Ground hasn't shown an awful lot, but her best work has tended to come on good to soft, so I think this ground will help. She's out of a yard that has seems to be in pretty good form and the claiming jockey on board takes off a valuable 5 lb, which I think gives her a nice weight to carry. A nice each-way chance.

This trappy contest will certainly divide opinion as it's tough to rule out anything in this. However, Salver is my choice here. He's proven his ability at the distance compared with a few of his market rivals. He's two Grade 2 wins up his sleeve, both of which he won quite convincingly. This was followed by a huge run last time out in the Browns at Cheltenham, where, turning for home, he looked well beaten and stayed on powerfully up the hill to finish third. If he's kept closer to the leaders today, I'm almost certain he will stay on strong in the final stages.
