It's almost three years since this horse last won. Hardly a glowing endorsement, but there are some reasons for optimism. First, I'd point to a decent fourth place at Navan last time out. Second, he went close over course and distance last summer. Third, there's a promising claimer on board. Rates as an unlikely winner but could fill one of the places at reasonable odds.

I think this horse has a decent each-way chance today. Consistent on the all-weather over winter and returned to turf with two placed efforts in March and May. Just three pounds above his last winning mark, and that is more than offset by a good claimer. I think this track could suit based on good runs at similarly stiff tracks last summer.
