Ben Pauling is noted as a trainer who has a successful record of turning hurdlers into chasers, and I'm hoping that Roysse continues the trend. He lost his way after a thrilling Uttoxeter victory over hurdles in January, and he can strike here with renewed interest over fences.

Reverting back to hurdles today for the James Owen yard. On the book, there's little between Jet Patrol and Ez Tiger, but I believe Jet Patrol has more scope for improvement.nd

My Portia comes here with a few question marks. However, the booking of Brian Hughes looks significant as he was the pilot when the 7-year-old mare won her only race so far. She ran well on her first two starts last term before losing her way, and I am interested in all runners from her sire Telescope, who is providing plenty of winners.

A decent horse in both flat and hurdles spheres, Arqoob gets the assistance of Harry Cobden today and looks dangerous at 4 lbs below his last hurdles winning mark. Given he won over 14f at Newmarket in August last, he has plenty of speed and can get competitive off of a featherweight.

Vivid Pink looks an EW banker to me after her recent run, and she's bound to come on for that for a stable enjoying a welcome resurgence. She doesn't look the easiest horse to train and has had a good few lengthy absences, hence she's yet to get off the mark. However, her last run was encouraging, and the going will suit.

Vischio scored first time up for trainer Emmet Mullins, but has struggled since and strictly on the book has something to find against some opponents here. However, she came back after a two-month break to finish runner-up in a 2m+ flat handicap at Naas in October and can improve on that to at least grab some minor honors here.
