Inside Man scored cosily at Newton Abbot LTO. Although he has to overcome an increased mark (up 4 lbs), he scored with some aplomb eight weeks ago. If wound up for this, he can give his talented young rider yet another winner.

I may be tilting at windmills with Alba Crus, but I think these odds are all wrong from an 8trainer/jockey partnership that's always worth scrutiny. Alba Crus improved from his debut when making all and winning under hands and heels with a bit in hand at Newton Abbot in June. He's a huge individual and although lacking the experience of some of his rivals, I'm banking on him to at least run into a place here.

Pottersville gets the very able assistance of Sean Bowen here (one of two rides for Rebecca Curtis), and she was most impressive when hacking up on debut by 8 lengths in a Clonmel bumper in April. She's also by Ocovango, an NH sire making a name for himself, and although lacking experience, I believe she's at least a place prospect.
