I think this horse has lots of potential. The only reason this horse is not going off at much shorter odds is the quirks coming out of the stalls in the last couple of starts. Despite coming away slowly and often looking all over the place, once getting into stride, it runs on quite impressively. I don't think the step up in trip will be a problem and may even be a plus in this instance, given how strong the last two run-ins at a mile were. If this horse can get off to a better start, it will be very difficult to beat here. Given the few runs the horse has had, I'm prepared to forgive these quirks.

Has won from this sort of layoff previously, so the 180+ days since the last run does not give me much concern. The conditions seem to suit this horse, so no concerns there. The main concern is there are a few horses who also look like the conditions suit. However, given the double-figure price, I really do think Homme D'Un Soir is highly likely to at least place and has a great chance of taking the race. The main concern is the risk of a pace collapse with My Friend Sean and Kopey all wanting to be at the front, but I have faith in Mr. Bowen not getting caught up in that.

This horse seems to love this time of year with 3 out of 4 wins coming in October. The adding of cheekpieces seems to help improve this horse, which are on again today. I think he was well overlooked in his last 2 starts, and while his odds suggest the market is taking notice, I still think there is value at this price. The last run just at the end of September proved this horse doesn't mind a battle and was pushed all the way to the end but still stayed on strong. I really think High Point will be in the mix again here.

Mister Mojito is my selection in this one. The last run here, finishing 3rd by 1/2 a length in which he never got a clear run, is forgivable. As is the last run at Newcastle while finishing 5th, but again didn't get a clean run in, and I don't think the pace suited. The conditions look much more suitable for him today, and given a cleaner run in, he has a great chance of landing this one in my opinion.

I'm looking to take on Indemnity in this one and don't have much faith in him completing the hat-trick. His last run back in May was not much of a contest, a three-runner affair he won easily with a low finishing speed percentage in the low 90s. He hasn't stuck off this layoff either, so I would be more inclined to look for his next run. Most of the field are having their first run of the season, which leads me to Forget The Way. He's ready for today, and looking at his run from a couple of weeks ago, he should have won that but left a bit too much to do but flew home to finish second. Both trainer and jockey do fairly well in class 4 hurdles, so Alex Chadwick has a great chance to clock another win in this race. So I'm putting my money on Forget The Way today but am keen to see how Indemnity gets on this winter (just not today).
