Ran a great race at Ascot last time out. It wasn't an overly strong race that day, and this guy would be one to take out from there. He should have enough talent here to see off his rivals.

One at an each-way price. Banksman, a runner on both the flat and the jumps, had been running at some tougher tracks prior to today. If Sheena West has him ready, it could well be worth an each-way play at 20/1.

Lord Of The Glance

Lord Of The Glance comes here on the back of a win at Stratford last time out, being eased down in the finish. The better ground might be the answer, and he could well follow up here today.

I like his profile and all, but bleeding last time. He seemed to be going the right way to capitalise once again. Just in case there is still untapped potential and he runs a good race, I would take a chance on him getting back to winning ways. But Sea Invasion might take some beating.

Sea Invasion

Daily Racing

A course-and-distance winner. Last time out he was stretched for stamina and, although possibly not dictating here, should be prominent enough to take advantage in the finish. Still has good form with The Doyen Chief, Your Darling and Soul Icon. Any replication of that form now dropped in class to a suitable level should be a huge positive for him.

Well in on all past form and should be the one to beat, especially in the form Dan Skelton and Harry Skelton have been in. He last won off a mark of 117, so should be able to run up to that. It is still a competitive enough race though, which is why my each-way selection is Elysian Knight as option B.

Is still fairly unexposed. I liked her race at Sligo, coming from off a slow pace and, after being held up, able to make inroads on the leaders to finish where she did. I don't think 7f suits her, and at Navan two starts ago I think she could never get into the race. So I am giving her every chance with a good draw and the fact I believe she is well overpriced at 20/1 to put in a good run here today.

Should take all the beating here today. Great effort when finishing 2nd last time out. The race was run at a strong pace, and he wasn't far behind the eventual winner that day. With a weaker race that he should be able to dominate and lead from, this should be Delgany Deadline's to win.

Likedbymike is the proven, more experienced choice in the field. He comes here having already run once this season. He probably didn't have the best of draws that day (same as today but with fewer runners). The second and the fifth that day have gone on to win next time out. Given his opposition and the positives he has on this ground and over this trip, he should be in the mix.

In a race that is a graveyard for favourites, I'm willing to take the 4/6 favourite on with Richie's Rocket for Ralph Beckett and Rossa Ryan. Last time out was a write-off as he reared in the stalls and had to close from the rear. On his first couple of starts he was up with the pace. This being potentially a race with weak pace may well let him dominate and, in doing so, serve it up to the Godolphin pair. His figures alone say that he isn't without a chance.

Another interesting runner. DC Cogent actually won a Maiden over course and distance last year then a few runs later finished a good 2nd off a mark of 75. Today he runs off 67, a potentially dangerous mark. He has put in some reasonable efforts over 6f and hasn't been disgraced. If he is well in, it might not matter as much regarding pace. Has been unconvincing on the all-weather over the winter period. However, This Farh now returns to the turf off a mark of 69, a mark he won off back in May on the turf at Lingfield last May. It has taken a while to get the mark to a competitive level, although he was not disgraced by his figures on the all-weather. In a seemingly weak pace setup, this guy tends to like running from the front, and if that's the case, he might give This Farh something to worry about.

Al Barez is an interesting favourite, down 11 lbs since his last run on turf. If he is better suited to turf and shows the same spark as last time out, then he could be hard to beat. However, I am interested in the each-way play of Thunderous Love. She is down in class after looking capable in a Class 4 contest at Salisbury and could capitalise again. Things didn't go right for her at Goodwood and Rob Hornby eased her down. If she can show the same level of form she left with, she should be in the frame to take the honours here.

On first look, I thought Expressionless was the one to side with. A nice first run back of the season when finishing 3rd that day at Doncaster. However, he got the strong pace he needed that day to come from off the pace. If this turns out to be a weaker-run race, then I take Hibernate of Ed Dunlop's with Rossa Ryan on board to reverse their fortunes. He was prominent that day, but in a smaller field he might be able to dictate more to his benefit and see off the rest.

On all known form, Rialannah should take all the beating here. Just her second start for Lucy Wadham, she started her off after nearly a year off the track in a Class 4 Mares Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f. Not the best of races to pick apart when form includes UR, PU, and F. Camulus has been in a strong vein of form, winning three on the bounce now, always just by a few lengths. If he has a bit more left to eke out, then this may well present a good task for him today. The biggest line of form here that makes you think he is well in is when finishing 3rd to The Jukebox Man (later to be the King George winner) by only 6.25 lengths. That was back in November. After trawling through trends for this race, I landed on Jasko Des Dames. What I was more taken with, other than his finishing position, is that for the pace that was set and the position he took throughout the race, he was one of the very few to still be up there in the finish. Those in front at the finish were all held up and off the pace. I think this guy's run deserves to be upgraded. Horses that generally run well in the Triumph Hurdle (Gr 1) at the Cheltenham Festival end up winning or running a great race in this contest. Although Selma De Vary didn't get the clearest of runs, I'm not sure if she would have caught Maestro Conti and Minella Study.
