18:00 AIK v Paide Linnameeskond

AIK

Expecting AIK to win this comfortably, holding a 2-0 lead from the away leg, especially on the back of conceding only four goals in their eight home league games so far. Fellow Swedish side Hacken thrashed Paide 6-1 in their home leg in this same competition last season. Perhaps this could be something similar.
17:45 AZ v FC Ilves

AZ

500 WIN

@1.11

Win

AZ surprisingly lost the first leg away 4-3. Surely they will put this right in the home leg and win by the 2+ margin, which will see them safely through.
12:30 Arsenal v Tottenham

Arsenal

Arsenal are the better team, and also have had the advantage of acclimatising with the two previous games with AC Milan and Newcastle. They won both of those and won't want to lose any momentum from that against their bitter rivals.

17:00 FK Qarabag v Shelbourne

FK Qarabag

250 WIN

@1.20

Win

Qarabag are very strong at home and despite this being held at a different stadium and them already holding a commanding lead from the first leg, I don't expect them to let up here.

20:00 Crvena Zvezda v Lincoln Red Imps FC

Crvena Zvezda

500 WIN

@1.04

Win

The home side still managed to win the first leg away despite playing more than half of it with only ten men. As they only have a slender lead, they still have to take this one seriously to ensure qualification, which they should comfortably do. Even if Lincoln manage to hold it to 0-0 for a long time, they will have to open up eventually, which will likely let Red Star in.
19:30 Barnet v Newport County

Barnet

50 WIN

@1.73

Lose

-50

Barnet come into this on the back of winning the National League last season, while Newport really struggled in League Two, hence having to be involved in this preliminary round. On the back of two good pre-season results against Leyton Orient and Wycombe, I'm going with Barnet here.
19:00 Dynamo Kyiv v Hamrun Spartans

Dynamo Kyiv

150 WIN

@1.20

Win

Kyiv hold a 3-0 lead from the first leg, and despite them already holding a comfortable lead, I expect them to extend it with another win here.

Lots of 180s expected here from these two. They managed 28 between them in their quarter-finals. As this match is very likely to go deep, and the fast pace of the game will suit them both, definitely thinking at least 25 180s here.
20:15 James Wade vs Jonny Clayton

Jonny Clayton

50 WIN

@1.67

Both players are in great form. Wade has an incredible record in this competition, but I have a feeling Clayton might just edge this one. Wade's level so far has been great, but I feel this is not quite as sustainable as for Clayton.
15:00 Dunfermline v Stirling

Dunfermline

150 WIN

@1.18

Win

27

Dunfermline need a win to qualify as one of the best runners up, while Stirling are already eliminated after failing to score a point or a goal in their previous three games.
15:00 Falkirk v Spartans FC

Falkirk

150 WIN

@1.18

Win

27

Falkirk are good at home and really should make light work of their lower level opponents, especially as they require a win to be sure of qualification to the next round.
15:00 Kilmarnock v East Fife

Kilmarnock

125 WIN

@1.22

Win

27

East Fife need to win as 7 points will not be enough to qualify as one of the best three runners-up. Kilmarnock need a win also, as 8 points would likely not be enough either if Livingston v Kelty Hearts produces a winner. Have to go with the Premiership team against the League One opponents.

Australia may have already secured the series but will want to wrap up a 3-0 whitewash ahead of the Ashes this winter. Of course, every Test matters as they all count towards the next Test Championship, which the Aussies will be eager to win back after losing to South Africa last month.

20:00 Chelsea v PSG

PSG

100 WIN

@1.62

Lose

Simply can't see PSG not winning this one. They outclassed Real Madrid in the semi-final, as they did to Inter in the Champions League final. Although Chelsea may well provide better resistance, I don't see them having enough to trouble them.
16:00 Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz

Very little to choose between these two, but I have to go with Alcaraz based on the head-to-head record being very much in his favor.
15:00 Preston v Liverpool

I wouldn't normally go near friendlies, but with the emotional circumstances of this occasion, I really fancy Liverpool to mark it with a win.
12 July 2025
17:15 Hearts v Dunfermline

Hearts

I fully expect Hearts to record a victory here against a Dunfermline side a division below them. Hearts just finished in the bottom half of the Premiership last season but only had one point fewer than Dundee United and Aberdeen, who both secured European qualification. Meanwhile, Dunfermline finished comfortably in the bottom half of the Championship and had a major problem scoring goals, particularly away from home, scoring a paltry 8 goals in 18 games on the road.
16:00 Amanda Anisimova vs Iga Swiatek

Iga Swiatek

Win Match

50 WIN

@1.40

Win

20

Swiatek is the justified favourite especially because of the way she dominated her semi-final and has dropped only one set the entire tournament. For sure she will find it far tougher in the final but I think she is ready to win Wimbledon.
15:00 Brechin v Falkirk

Falkirk

Anything other than a Falkirk win here would be a huge shock. Brechin are down in the Highland League and Falkirk won promotion to the Scottish Premiership last season. Brechin failed to score a single point in their group games last season and Falkirk are unbeaten against them in their last 14 meetings, winning 12 of these.
15:00 Dundee v Airdrieonians

Dundee

Got to back Dundee here. They are a division above Airdrieonians. Also, last season they met twice in cup competitions, with Dundee winning 6-1 in this very same competition, followed up by a 4-0 success in the Scottish Cup.
15:00 Stranraer v Ross County

Ross County

These sides met in the League Cup the previous two seasons, Ross County winning 3-1 last season and 5-1 back in 2023. I see a similar outcome again this time.
06:50 Japan v Wales

Japan

To Win

50 WIN

@2.75

Wales are on a shocking run of 18 consecutive defeats against international opponents, the last of which was against Japan last week, blowing a decent half-time advantage. I don't see that ending here as Japan will want to record back-to-back victories against a Tier 1 opponent.

This match is taking place in very humid conditions under a closed roof, and as such it is expected that ball handling will be very difficult with a greasy ball, and could reduce try scoring opportunities. Based on this, I would expect the points totals to be lower rather than higher.

19:45 Edinburgh City v Partick

Partick

50 WIN

@1.57

Win

Partick are two divisions higher and won this fixture in this same competition 6-0 a year ago, when Edinburgh lost all four group games with an aggregate of 1-16.
19:00 Essex vs Sussex T20

Sussex

Win Match

50 WIN

@1.67

Essex are very much in a transitional period, and after a surprise win against Surrey, they were very much outclassed once more against Somerset at Taunton. Sussex are a very good outfit, very much in contention for a top-four finish, so I can only see one outcome here.
16:00 Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic

Jannik Sinner

Win Match

50 WIN

@1.44

Win

This has the potential to be a blockbuster of a match. Sinner has very much had the better of the most recent meetings with Novak, but Djokovic has won both their previous meetings on grass at Wimbledon. That said, both of those were in 2022/23, when Djokovic was very much an odds on favourite. The tables have turned now, and I think Sinner will justify his favourite tag for this semi-final, especially as Djokovic may still be hampered with the injury he sustained in his previous match.
13:30 Taylor Fritz vs Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz

Win Match

100 WIN

@1.18

Win

18

Fritz has lost both previous meetings with Alcaraz in straight sets, plus has only managed one victory in 17 attempts against the big three of Djokovic, Alcaraz, and Sinner. I think Alcaraz will win this comfortably in 3 or 4 sets against an opponent who has so far failed to find a way to compete against the very best.
