Despite being 1 from 16, looks to have clicked back into form since swapping yards with two solid efforts on the all-weather. Now takes the swap back to turf on faster ground. Given its previous form in 2024, he's proven on the ground and distance and should take well to this again. Now with a tumbling mark running off 65 with his sole win coming off 71, a first-time tongue tie could bring on further improvement. First-time booking of highly respected Jack Doughty, previously scoring on his only ride for the yard. Very small yard who have only produced 15 runs this season, but from those efforts have achieved 2 winners and 5 places, so could hold some each-way value with this against a strong favorite in the market who looks similarly rated in my eyes.

Narrowly beaten on 4 starts this term but has run into a few issues on those runs, finding itself short of space but always finishing strongly. Jockey now switched out to David Egan, who's not a common booking for this yard but producing 1 win, 2 seconds, and 2 fourths from 13 runs. He's fairly consistent at this course with a 19% strike rate. Trainer also holds a moderate strike rate here, and form has been franked on recent occasions with other close finishers going on to score again.

Progressive gelding who was first past the post in a Class 3 at York, before being disqualified over whip use. But looked to beat most of that field comfortably with plenty of the field rating similar today. Likes a galloping track and has previously scored here. 5lb rise off the last win but still a very unexposed horse and dominates most of these on the speed ratings, so could be hard to catch. Small yard who are in good form, with Jason Hart booked on, could see going well again.

One of interest in a very strong race. Tracked this horse for a while and looks to have potential, one of the last of Galileo's crop. Unfortunately, hasn't managed to amount to as much as I'd have hoped. Now taking a step up in trip to 1m6f, previously placed off 1m4f at this track. The pedigree wouldn't normally scream for these longer distances, but his full brother, who was a flat swapped to jump, stays 2 miles comfortably, so perhaps the longer distances could be of ease for this one. Could well be out of its depth in this field of competition with only really making efforts in class 4 & 5. Could still be worth a chance over this longer trip with a good record for a flat galloping track which will suit. Burke's yard is in flying form, hasn't got the most confident of jockey bookings but in hope of a big run with this one over the distance, or if we possibly see this horse swap to jumps like his brother.

Since switching to faster ground has done nothing but improve, going on a 3x win streak, with that coming to an end at York with an unfavorable draw but still finishing 3 lengths off the winner. Could still have room for more progress, drawn well here and drops 1 lb off last run that still seems a workable mark. Yard is in good nick and doesn't often send horses here. Jason Hart booked, who's a profitable pairing for this yard.

Produced two respectable efforts from four starts since the seasonal return. Both of these best efforts came over 6f, showing a clear liking to the ground last time out when 5th of 13 but ran into traffic when trying to make ground. Couldn't keep the same pace after having to switch out and got headed late on by a share of the field. His handicap marks quickly decreased, failing to win now in these 8 starts with an opening mark of 71 to now be slid down to 59. The switch of scenery to Windsor could help get his head in front here, given the trainer holds a solid record at this track with a 14% strike rate from 330 runs and a 38% rate for being within the top 3. Swapped to apprentice jockey Jack Callan, who seems to be holding himself well so far in his career, previously raced once for Charles achieving a second place.

This filly's improved on all three of her runs over in Ireland and ran a solid fourth last time out on her all-weather debut at Dundalk, being beaten just over three lengths when she weakened in the final furlong. So the drop back in trip should be suited. A question mark over her fitness after 208 days layoff, but given her trainer is sending her over from Ireland to make a handicap debut, I'd expect it won't be a wasted journey. She hasn't been given the kindest of draws, but it isn't enough to write her off if grabbing an early front-running lead like what was produced at Dundalk, overcoming a wide draw on that occasion. Trainer John O'Donoghue isn't one for sending horses to England, given he's only had 21 runners in the last five seasons, which produced two wins and two places. Both of those were under the hands of Jason Hart, who's booked for this one today.

On paper, this growing two best efforts come on the all-weather, but last time out looked to be producing a big run on the turf despite being beaten by over 5 lengths, finishing 4th of 9. Raced very keenly and looked a bit contender before finding himself short of space on the inside rail, cutting up his momentum. From this, he's managed to slide a further 2 lbs, which is more than a workable mark with placing 3rd when beaten by 2 lengths off a mark of 70. The switch back to the all-weather could spark further improvement with how primed he looked last time. Jockey switch to the in-form amateur Brodie Hampson, who's won 4 of her last 5 for trainer Archie Watson, adds an extra edge in this one. She holds a 27% strike rate when paired up with this stable, in addition to a 36% rate for being in the frame, which makes this each-way value more appealing.
