Spartan Times barely came out of 2nd gear when hacking up 8 days ago. The selection was sent to the lead 6 furlongs out and bossed the race from there onwards. In all honesty he could have won by 10 lengths. The winning margin was deceptive to say the least, with retained jockey G Wood just hands and heels on his mount. Races off a 15lbs higher mark here....connections must feel they have plenty in hand against this lot. Already has more entries next week so potential to build up a winning sequence. 5/2 wont last long. Nap.
