Even with the 5lb penalty for the win over 1m 4f at Catterick last week, this horse's impressive form is still good enough to outclass this field today. The jockey, Cian Hogan, claims 5lb, which reduces the burden somewhat.

Has been better at this shorter distance. 1st of 19 in April at Plumpton at 115 rating and 2nd of 10 at Sandown at 109 rating, both over approximately 2m 4f. Last two races were creditable over greater distances. Rated 120 today, but jockey claim takes this down to a 108 rating, much lighter than last win at this distance.

8th of 7 last time out in May over 1m 4f. After several wins, this progressive 2-year-old was surprisingly poor there, and no excuse was given. The horse has been rested since then, and perhaps whatever the issue was has been solved. Three wins have been over 7f, 1 mile, and 1m 1f, so this shorter distance may suit.

In the last race, it was leading but took a keen hold when being held up and weakened 2f out. That was a higher class race, but this horse needs to improve a lot in this field.
