Downfield in most of the outings so far. But has a big season ahead off a very handy mark of 54. Double entered and connections could be looking for a quickfire double. Jones has one in the race which looks to shape a similar profile and likely be getting an optimal trip for once and is a strong danger with early support. But gives this mare 9 lbs and returning to turf with a visor could prove very hard to beat. Stays well and could be doing best work late if not caught too tapped for toe.

Has drifted to an attractive price. I made this one 4/6. Boasts best form in the field. Recently ran with credit in Group 3. Tate's flattered by opposition last time, and debutants have it all to do. Would need to be very smart.

This horse was highly touted in Cunha's stable tour after an eye-catching end to last season. He is rated 77, but I'm almost certain he can be 15 lbs superior to that this season. This is a tough race to start in, but I think that is testament to the hopes they have with him this season. Definitely got a chance of hitting the frame in this. He's a strong traveler who should be fit and raring to go, whereas others may be using this as a stepping stone.

Always look for c&d winners in these type of races and this one has won and posted some close defeats over 6f at chantilly. Watching his race back last day he wasnt beaten far at all but has still been dropped down the weights and is back today with a top jockey booked at an attractive mark. Luck is needed in this handicaps but i feel if he can get a nice run could have a good chance in this at a nice price

Plenty of signs from his last two runs that he is coming to hand post break, first run up was an eyecatching run from being held up where he finished with running left and last run he showed good pace but just found two too good. Usually pops up around the spring time and puts his bets foot forward and with a return to a track hes won on previously and a drop in class he makes obvious appeal to be getting his season into winning ways here.

Debutant race in France, and this one has attracted some early market support. A colt by Romanticised has a pedigree which could suit this and bloodlines that are attractive. Pouchin booked, and I think this boy has a chance if ready to win first time out. Worth a squeak.

The form of his last race is much stronger than may appear at first glance. He hit the line very strong and steps up to 1m2 today, which his dam's side should bring stamina to progress over this trip. I haven't been overly convinced with the favorite, and at the price, this lad is worth a go. I think he will be having a progressive season. Muggy each way.

Loves this C&D, having won 3 out of 4 times running here and placing all 4. Dropped plenty in the weights naturally as a regressive 11-year-old, but looked back to form with a luckless run to third. So, I have high hopes he can go better and win here today.

It's a really poor day's racing, and there's no need to overcomplicate or even back this at all, as it's such an awful price. But it just wins. Just using the balance on here.

Plenty to like about Emerald Army running in this big field handicap off 54, with his form sticking out like a sore thumb. His last run posted a really smart time compared to his mark, likely why the form is working out so well. Overnight Oats, who just pipped him last day, is now running off 76. Ran over C&D before, where he finished a creditable 4th/13, but that was his run over 6f, leaving him plenty unexposed for this contest.

Shorter price than I would ever want to be getting stuck into, but sweet on Jan going off shorter and getting his season off to a winning start tomorrow. A hugely progressive yet babyish runner last season who, with a winter on his back, should have grown up. Looks a weak enough race for him to win even when not fully wound up. Saturday racing is trappy, so keeping it simple. Jan Brueghel will be going onto much better things.

Haggas targets this meeting, placing the likes of Passenger in this race before. Crown of Oaks showed plenty of promise in his debut run where he drifted in the betting and clearly wasn't there to be winning first time up. The form of that hasn't worked out great, but it's rarely as black and white as that in these sorts of races. There are a few nice types in here, but this lad holds some fancy entries and will want to be winning this if going on to better things. Should be going off shorter, hence why I feel the short price is value.

Hinted at loving a trip like this in his one stint in the National, where he was actually traveling well until stumbling badly and losing momentum. Gets into this off a workable mark, having run with consistent credit the last few starts in good company. Will relish the quicker than usual ground, so hopefully it's more good than soft, and I can see him hitting the frame at a price.

Some really strong form when harshly beaten by Blue Hop. That race is working out extremely well, and this mare should be suited to the good ground, which others may not be able to say. I'd expect this to go close if running to form.

No doubt there are some very nice types here, but it is a race where question marks can be raised for a few, i.e., fitness and ground. Mountain Breeze becomes the obvious answer, and getting an each-way price for 4 places seems too good to resist. He has shown marked improvement over in Meydan, where fast ground and early pace are key. This should leave him in good stead for the fast ground at Newbury tomorrow, where a fitness edge over rivals could prove pivotal in this race. He has plenty of ability and toe to be going very close in this.

Fairly open contest with a few unknowns and handicap debuts. Sottsands had the measure of the favorite earlier in a maiden and has posted some decent efforts at Dundalk. Quickly turned out again after 10th place handicap finish, which shapes much better than the bare result when checked halfway round and staying on for pressure in what was a competitive race with a good time to go with. Looks a nice enough price for a small go.

This looks like a shootout between the top two, but you would have to side with the O'Brien colt. Ran to a decent time on debut in a decent enough maiden, staying on. Steps up to a mile today and will have come on tons for the run. Moore booked and just wins for me.
