I tipped punchbowl lto at 25/1 and came second behind Beauzon by 1 length, that was a competitive Class 5 he also finished infront of the well fancied initial Blue who went off at 9/4 fav. The form worked out well last on his last race and we will see today how both Beauzon and initial Blue run to boost our shot. Hes getting on now but hes a strong travelling horse and being eased in grade should see us in the mix at double figure odds.

Now Bowensonfire has won me some money. He has been overlooked many times in the markets from recent races, and I've got on at double-figure odds and he's got up. Won for us LTO at 12/1 in a slog of a race at Leopardstown, and he could follow up tomorrow. He handles any going and is one of the most game horses there is, especially in big fields. Regular jockey Jack Kennedy on board, and he knows where to sit patiently and when to press the button. I'm hoping for a big run.

I tracked Irish Nectar from his last run at Kempton. He was ridden patiently on the inside rail, and when the button was pushed he responded. In fact, I've not seen a turn of foot like it for a while in the final furlong. Herrington is obviously doing something right at the moment, and Irish Nectar looks to be one to follow since the stable switch. Headgear back on tomorrow, and I'm hoping for a big run if it's set up for him.

Back in classified company Millbuie should be able to be in the mix with rowan Scott on board who's striking at a nice 28% percent in the last 14 days. Although still a maiden his last two runs have shown a glimpse that hes ready to land soon. He finished just a length behind myna lto and 1.5 lengths of the winner. Dash power who finished 3.5l behined us gave homer stokes a run for his money nto. Aside from this being classified, the form does read well and its wether or not Millbuie turns up today.

Kelvin Forlonge holds all claims tomorrow, even though he's going up in class. He's the only runner in this field who has had a win this season. The yard's strike rate is 22% and jockey Jack Power has a strike rate of 60%. He won a nice race on handicap debut and followed up with a good 3rd under a 6 lb penalty. The drop back in trip and a 5 lb claimer looks a good move, and he can go well with a clear round of jumping. The ground is soft currently, but I'm expecting it to get a bit more testing by the race, which should suit him even more.

Now this is another horse who ive tipped and didnt show up nto but now 2lb below is last winning mark and the booking of Billy Loughnane is what made me go for this. Billy's only ride on bajan December last year and he got the win over this trip. He finished just 2l behined the inform Flowstate lto and was only beaten 4l in the finish. 4l is the difference of positioning and a well timed run to go close again so to me 22/1 is overpriced.

Another here thats not obvious on paper but Rambusto Creek was marked up for me lto as an eyecatcher. He was tried over 7f lto not his usual trip or track but he was strong in the finish. He got blocked in from the back for a run then switched outside and flew to the line. He runs better at Southwell and to keep him over 7f could be a smart move from herrington. Worth noting his last 3 defeats there has only been a max of 3l in it to the winners. Last win was off a mark of 72 and the handicapper has dropped him another 1lb, hes now running off 54 and seems well handicapped to start hitting some form soon.

So back in classified company a chance is taken on Bernie The Bear, hes shown a level of consistency in his last two runs that may suggest hes primed for a run tonight. Hes not much too look at profile wise of recent but of his only 3 wins 2 came at Wolverhampton and 1 was over C&D. Flickas girl and vitalline are two horses ive tipped many times and both hold claims but im looking for an outsider approach and im hoping bernie can follow the form of his last 2 runs. Ive been liking Rhys Clutterbucks rides at Wolverhampton recently so its a other bonus with this selection.

Another Furtado runner here who ran a good race lto over tomorrow's trip at Southwell. Lost out to Wicksey by a length, they were 12l clear of the rest of the field and Corduroy being one of them. A few in this race are unexposed over tomorrow's trip and with the current set up our selection looks primed for another good run.

Now this is one of those selections that is nothing to look at but these are the types that I land outside prices on. Ivan Furtado's last 3 runs at Wolverhampton have been 3 winners. The last being an 18/1 shot. With this selection its worth the play with both jockey and trainer in fine form. The Bell Conductor just ran in a very competitive Class 3 against the likes of Badri, Silkie wilkie and the well fancied Betsen that day. In defeat there were only 5l in it. Ill take the chance dropping in grade and dropping in trip where most of his best runs have been over 5f. This is a competitive Class 4 but im willing to play a point total e/w.

With our outsider being declared a NR im going to tip a similar price on the day. Always fearless is a hound of a horse, and the way he finished lto after an 8 month break suggest hes been kept well fit for reappearance. He finished just 3l off Moyowasi after being caught out at the back of the field. To come from where he did and got up was impressive. He is slow into stride and loses positioning but if he finds himself mid pack in the finish and allowed to gallop I can't see why he cant be near the finish. He can run with promise then not deliver nto but im willing to play a point total e/w from what was a good run lto.

Now im looking for better value as always with my selections and she's the boys stands out for me. Id excuse her last two runs on softer ground as shes done all her best work on good going. She landed a two wins over hurdles on good ground last year before going over fences and won with an impressive 6l finish against horses rated 120+. Back on good ground and second run after a wind operation 5/1 looks a good price.

A great sprinter last season for botti and has been off since October last year. Sort of unexposed going into this as far as race fitness and form goes this year but this is a strong race to to be thrown in. Hes won over C&D and botti has landed with his last two runners. Billy Loughnane takes the ride which is a plus given recent form and im hoping for a fresh run.

Ive had to have a stab at fingle Bridge at double figure odds here. Even though his last run over hurdles was an okay run in defeat, i think the 2m 5f on heavy ground was a bit too much for his first run back over hurdles. He was undefeated over hurdles last season under Sean bowen and he landed a nice listed Novices hurdle beating Regent's stroll who was well fancied that day. Gavin sheehan retains the ride and the drop in trip tomorrow would be more likely to suit.

An outside play in this race would go to Badri who has done most of his best work over 6f, the 5f lto was too sharp lto and this should suit better. 2 places from 2 starts at Wolverhampton over 6f and 7f. Jason hart has a strike rate of 21% in the last 14 days and he's been in some strong battles over the line. I know there are some shorter prices that look appealing on recent form but im willing to play a point on some bigger value.

I tipped Pit boss first win 3 starts back over C&D off a mark of 54 and hes been running consistently since. Cian horgan takes the ride again from his last race where he met Lord capulet in the finish who had the edge that day. Id say Pit boss would still be competitive off a mark of 60+ so with cian horgan claiming 3lbs hes just 1lb his winning mark. Yorkshire glory always runs his race at Newcastle but Harry vigors is yet to win there so Pit boss looks a good play at 4/1

Another who i tipped lto where he ran an okay race midfield in a class 4. Went off around 33/1 and was one pace in the finish. He’s up against weaker competition tomorrow and id say dropping back to 7f looks the move. Declan McDonogh has a strike rate of 29% in the last 14 days and with Howyoulikethat being 4lbs under his last winning mark at dundalk he looks a good value play in this field.

Im willing to take on the odds on fav in this race with Georgi girl. I tipped her lto at Ludlow at 14/1 on the nose and she came second to an unexposed venetia Williams runner Holetown. Venetia Williams hit some form that week with a few winners and our selection followed. Ben Jones strike rate in the last 14 days is 27% compared to Bryan Carver on Kap quest who is from 14 runs. The yards strike rate is 24% also so stat wise the fav is worth taking on. Georgi girl was game in the finish lto on soft ground and i think the drop in trip on good to soft should show speed which she has. She is frustrating sometimes but with the current stats 5/1 looks good.

So im going with the David and Nicola Barron trained Mereside Princess for this race. Bit of an outsider play with the yard and jockey both in form. Returning from a short break and im sure this filly has been kept fit for the job today. She's been in and out of 6f and 7f races and the race she finished best was over this C&D off a mark of 59, shes running off 55 here and has William pyles 3lb claim. From that she holds outside value in this field and im willing to play a point.

Not a standout pick here as far as the market goes but im going to have a spin on this. Andrew mullens first ride on this one and hes been in excellent form. Stable is doing ok too and looks a good combo at a big price. This filly finished 8th of 11 lto at Wolverhampton where a few runners have gone on to run a good race nto. One in particular is Alfa Duplicate who went onto win at 16/1 next time out, our selection crossed the line the same time. Arishka's Dream looks the one to beat but im happy to play a point here.

Im happy to play a point here with City Cyclone. He got the win for us last time over C&D at 12/1 and hes followed up since with another gutsy win at Wolverhampton going up in trip. Hes only gone up 3lb for both wins and i fancy him back over C&D, wide draw not ideal but he's the type to run a true line down the outside providing he gets the run. Buccabay is the danger but if City Cyclone can get into a good gallop he just keeps finding more and 11/1 looks ideal.

A bit out of his depths lto to be near the inform Jalon d'Oudairies in the finish over C&D but he has placed in his last two starts showing a progressive profile. Now handicapping off a fair mark i think he can go one better. Trainer J P Demsey has started march in fine form with 4 horses coming 1-2-2-1 so im hoping this form continues tomorrow.

He ran a decent race lto over C&D where he finished 2l off Spendmore Lane who went on to win next time out and won again tonight with a demolition job on the field. Punchbowl Flyer also finished infront of white umbrella by 6l who also ran a decent race today placing 3rd at 40/1 missing out by a length. This is a tough field tomorrow but the 9 year old could be coming back into some form off a mark of 59.

I wanted a decent price for BOG today with this one. C&D winner and a good partnership with Charlie Maggs. Hes running with a level of consistency even at his age of 12. He finally broke his maiden at Chelmsford last month and has followed it up with a string of brilliant efforts, including a close second over this track and trip just a couple of weeks ago. The handicapper hasn't gone crazy either, leaving him on a very workable mark of 57. With McDonald stepping into the saddle for the first time, whose strike rate is 40% in the last 14 days, I think the price is very generous.

An obvious short price here is Francesi who runs well whatever course but is yet to win at Wolverhampton so I've sided with serious look who has 9 runs here 3 wins 3 places. Hes had a 2 month break but does run fresh and his last run was promising staying on second off the same mark of 69. For his first run back the slight drop in trip looks to be wise and i think he holds decent value in this field providing he's fresh for it.

Since moving to Rod Millman's yard, this 4-year-old filly has been running really well, bagging a gutsy win at Lingfield where the second place went on to win next, then she backed it up with a solid third at Newcastle. The handicapper has let her off with that Newcastle run, leaving her on the same mark of 52 for that recent placed effort. One mile on Polytrack looks to be the setup for her, and I'd say she's still well treated off a mark of 52.
