Oxagon, for me, will be the forecast bet, at least for a place. I'm torn between two, but the Gosden-trained Oxagon is certain to be there at the end, battling it out. He showed what he's capable of when going all the running in the Craven Stakes (Group 3) in dominant fashion on his reappearance. His latest outing in France was a bit too much too soon, in my expert opinion, and connections I speak with concur wholly on this sentiment and feel the same as me: this trip is much more suited. With Oisin Murphy on board again, it's a bonus. He has a massive engine, and this horse's cruising speed is going to heavily favour the patterns this week.

Linwood sits pretty in stall 15, right in the centre high track of the field. Ridden by an experienced jockey, Jamie Spencer, he will be in places.
