This will be the first time this season that RENATO runs a race with the stable in form. When he made his seasonal debut at Southwell in April, the yard had a strike rate of 6% over the previous two weeks. Next time out at Haydock, the yard was striking at 6%. That percentage went down even lower, to 5% next time out. The horse showed improved form on his last run at Southwell last month when the yard's strike rate increased to 9%. The stable is striking at almost 16% now, so hopefully a return to form is on the cards.

I am ignoring the last run of SENSORIUM because it was his seasonal debut after 336 days off on ground that was too soft. If you take his third-placed finish in the Goffs Yearling Stakes at York last August at face value, then he looks thrown in. The horse that finished second that day has franked the form by winning a Group 3 in Chantilly in April. If returning back to form, the 14/1 looks like cracking value.

Trainer Sangster stated on ATR that SIMMERING had a nice gallop at Newbury last Wednesday, and connections were considering supplementing their charge for this contest. I don't think they would waste their money if the horse hadn't been showing something at home. Slight worry that it's been off track for fifty-seven days.

EAST HAMPTON is rated at least 7lb higher than his rivals this evening, but as he is a three-year-old racing against older horses, he gets an allowance, which in theory makes him even more 'well in'. The only concern is the good to firm ground because he has done all his best work on good to soft and even softer ground, but class may out.

YAASER could well have been deemed slightly unlucky two days ago at Musselburgh. After being slowly away, he was held up in the rear, and when he tried to make his move over one furlong out, he got short of room but stayed on really well to finish just under two lengths behind the winner in fourth. This evening's extra furlong will definitely suit.

I don't like tipping up the MIAMI MARLINS when they are favourites but i feel even at 4/5 i will tip them up to beat a slumping Houston team. The Astros have lost eight of their last ten games, on a three game losing streak and now travel to Florida to face a Fish team that are fliying. Since 11th of June they have the best record in the Majors and are currently on a five game winning run, coming off a sweep of the Yankees.
