This is going to be the upset of the round with the WASHINGTON COMMANDERS taking out the Detroit Lions in their own backyard. Lions QB Goff is 0-2 vs against the Commanders head coach Quinn. They also possess the third best ranked pass defense in the NFL and a run defense that has stiffened up of late and stopped the top five Buccs running game last time out. The visitors do possess an offense that can make the Lions defense, which has been pretty well undermanned for the second half of the season, struggle.

The HOUSTON TEXANS played a tight game when they met the Chiefs in Kansas in December. They went down 19-27 but kept QB Mahommes to just 230yds through the air with two scores. I think the big game changer was the two interceptions thrown by QB Stroud. If he can cut the mistakes out they can keep this close again so i will take the +8.50 POINT SPREAD.

Looking at how the only day game played at Centurion panned out earlier in this tournament batting second looks the way to go. Pretoria bowled the Eastern Cape out for 113 the chased that total down with four overs to spare. Suprisingly they have won the toss and elected to bat first but i will go with the stats and tip the PAARL ROYALS who will hopefully chase dawn whatever the Capitals set them.

If BEAT THE BAT can reproduce the second placed finish behind Dysart Enos at Cheltenham in Dec 2023 he would have a strong chance in this contest. He had the impossible task of giving that smart horse 7lb that day. I don't like the fact that an inexperienced jockey is on board WE NEVER STOP today, but the jockey gets a 7lb allowance. Plus, my tip runs out of plum draw fourteen. Many of the other horses have so many questions to be answered, including three of the top four in the handicap who have long absences to overcome. He was beaten a length by The Caltonian over course and distance earlier this month but is now 10lb better off with that rival.

I like the fact that BEDFORD FLYER has the form in the bank at this level while his rivals still have to show they can compete at C3 level. He is the only horse in the field to win off a mark of 90+ in this class. He was beaten a short head by Existent last time out when my tip gave that rival 14lb.
