Flamengo are much the better side, that's obvious, but their away form is a bit rocky. This is why you see the odds as high as they are for a Flamengo win, as they've only won 50% of their games away from home, winning 4, drawing 2, and losing 2. When I break this down, though, Flamengo's defense is top-notch. Even away from home, they've only conceded 6 in 8 games, scoring 10 in the process. Against an Internacional side that has scored 11 goals in 9 games, I do think Flamengo have the quality to beat Internacional away, though, so I'm going for a Flamengo win.

I think Arsenal will win this match. The quality they have going forward will punish Man UTD today, who come into the season off the back of a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina and a 2-2 with Everton. Arsenal fire into the season off the back of a 3-0 win against Athletic Club, and the addition of striker Gyokores will strengthen the team massively. The players Arsenal have going forward now are dangerous, and I can't see Man UTD stopping the front three firing in goals.

Scored in his last pre-season game. He will look to come into this game hitting the ground running in the Premier League. He'll get some good chances against Man Utd. As someone who watched a lot of him playing for Sporting last season, I know how dangerous he is with just any ball in or around the box. He's a natural finisher of the ball, and I'll actually be quite shocked if he doesn't find the back of the net against Man Utd.

Wouldn't be shocked if Viktor Gyökeres starts his Premier League season with the first goal for Arsenal. He'll be the central focus and will be lively in and around the penalty box, looking for any opportunity to jump onto. From experience of watching him for a number of years now, I know how clinical he can be with one good chance. Seems likely to score in this game and the most likely to score first in this game too.

Ugarte got 11 bookings last season and was booked when these two sides played each other last season as well. I could see him being booked again here. First game of the season, we tend to see a few more bookings as the crowd are fired up. It'll be a big game against a title contender, Arsenal, that'll make the game difficult. I think there is a great chance he gets booked.

When we are talking about goals, Cole Palmer always has to come into the discussion. He scored 15 in the Premier League last season. This guy loves scoring goals and will want to start his season off with a goal. He scored against them in their last game they played in the 1-1 draw, and I could see him getting a goal at home against Palace again.

Joao Pedro has looked a real threat since coming into this Chelsea team at home. First game of the season, I have to back this guy to find the back of the net. Chelsea is coming into this season in flying form too, and this man is part of the reason. He found the net in his last 4 games against Milan in their 4-1 win, PSG final, Leverkusen, and 2 against Fluminense game before that. Joao Pedro screams goals, and I see him scoring again here.

For me, Ipswich have to win this. It's the first home league game of the season, and I think they'll up it a gear against Southampton, who scraped a draw against Wrexham in their first game with two late 90+ minute goals. I wouldn't look too deeply into Ipswich, who got a draw away against a very good Birmingham side, who didn't lose a single game last season at home. That place is like a fortress and it's a horrible place to play as an away opposition. Both teams have some real quality, but Ipswich still have all of their Premier League striking talent, which has the ability to make things happen at Championship level. Being at home too, I can't see anything but an Ipswich win here.

Really easy winner for me here has to be Cincinnati. They've been the best team statistically on the road this season in the MLS. They've won 8 of their 14 on the road, including 1 draw and 4 wins in their last 5 away games. Especially as they're challenging for the No. 1 spot, this is a must-win game for them against a Portland team that is fairly strong at home, only losing 2 games. But for me, Cincinnati's away record is something I can't overlook.

A lot of talk on H2H data is probably best ignored. Last time these two sides played each other, Birmingham was in a completely different position. Since the last meeting, they have a completely new team and have been backed heavily by American owners. They have a Championship super team. They shut Ipswich down to one SOT the whole game, which was a penalty given in the 95th minute. They shut Sheffield United midweek to just one SOT, which was a shot from the halfway line that happened to lob the keeper against two good attacking sides. So, I think Birmingham keeps a clean sheet here. Blackburn didn't score against West Brom, and their chances will be super limited against a super strong Birmingham team defensively.
