5-year-old Cracksman gelding has only won once in 15 starts, but I'm hoping he can add to that today. His previous win was on turf, good to soft, but he has also placed on today's going. He has been held up and ran last time over 12 furlongs, fading in the last two. I think this could be his best trip and he may be raced more prominently today with a jockey that knows him well. Well enough handicapped. Going each way as the price is forecast to be about 10-1.

3 year old Filly sired by Without Parole is having just her 2nd handicap run and first on Turf. She ran a good 2nd last time out in her first handicap and breeding suggests that the good to firm ground should really suit her. Carrying top weight but helped by a good 3lb claimer I think she will go very close today.

5-year-old gelding sired by Dark Angel is a consistent sort. He doesn't win often but has been running mainly on the all-weather and over 5 furlongs. He can be a slow starter and is generally run off the pace, coming through beaten horses to finish in the best position at the end of his race. Today he runs over 6 furlongs and on turf. I think this extra furlong on the turf will give him more time to find his stride and get his head in front where it matters. His handicap rating has been coming down, and he has won over 6 furlongs on good going in May '23 before handicapping.

3-year-old filly sired by Inns Of Court has won twice to date, once on turf over 6 furlongs on good going at Hamilton and once on all-weather at Wolves with this jockey on board. Has come down the weights a few lbs since last turf outing, and I like the breeding on turf for this one. 3rd run back after a break, so should be fully tuned up. 8-1 forecast just about allows me to go each way today.

7-year-old gelding sired by Galiway is a consistent sort but has now had 10 runs for Donald McCain without getting his head in front. I think this must be disappointing for connections, and the handicapper has dropped him again, so running off a low mark from when he arrived at this very able stable. They have put up a decent 5lb claimer to reduce the weight further, and if he is going to win, I think it could be today.

3 year old Filly Sired by Calyx, a Sire I am particularly fond of. This is her 5th run and only her 2nd on turf after starting her career at Dundalk on the Polytrack. She seemed to run better on Turf with a decent run last time, running on at the finish. She was obviously learning to race and found some trouble in running on the all weather and maybe the extra space she has on the turf will help her find her full stride at the right time today.

5-year-old gelding sired by Golden Horn has yet to get his head in front over hurdles but is coming nicely down the weights. Breeding suggests he should be winning races as the Golden Horn-sired horses are doing well. This selection did win a race on the flat over 10 furlongs on good to firm going, and it could be that good or good to firm are better for him than softer going. Hopefully, the current good to firm stays that way, and we see a much-improved horse for it. Nap bet each way as the price is over 10-1.

8-year-old gelding sired by Muhaarar has won 4 times over hurdles and seems to carry weight well. The 11st 13lb he shoulders here shouldn't be a problem, especially with a 5lb claimer helping out. RP suggests he would prefer better going, but he has run a close 2nd on softer going over 3 miles carrying a similar weight. With his slightly lower handicap mark, I think he could run very well today at a price. Going each way and making it my NAP.

3-year-old gelding sired by Land Force won his maiden on good to firm back on September 24 and ran a few other races on decent ground. Had a run on heavy after his win and then was given a break and gelded in February. Carrying top weight here and can hopefully give a good show first time back after the operation. Ran well first time out as a maiden and Ryan Moore is booked, so should be given plenty of help from the saddle.
