Clear pick based on some very useful bumper form last season, including a close 4th to the exciting Anno Power at Ascot in February. Good bumper horses that are well-bred usually jump well when going hurdling, so it will be a surprise if this one is beaten.

Jumped very poorly on his first run of the season for his new trainer, but returning to hurdling should help. Superbly bred for National Hunt racing by Westerner out of a Flemensfirth mare, he had some good form when with the Skeltons. He is too big a price to leave alone in this race.

The favourite looks very nice on breeding and the O'Neills are very good in these races but a chance is taken with Brionywells who is by Jack Hobbs out of a Kayf Tara mare. Ran ok in a very hot race first time out at Newbury and was badly hampered at Worcester in August and can go well in this at a big price.

Quite an interesting Juvenile Hurdle race with a number of these having elements of National Hunt breeding, including One Glance. He has some reasonable flat form in his three runs so far, and Alan King usually has his three-year-olds well prepared for hurdling.

Likes this track and won this race last year from a similar mark and carrying 12 stone. Has had a break since running a good race in a competitive heat at Galway and can take advantage of the favourite returning quickly after a run a couple of weeks ago over this long trip.

A good bumper with a few nicely bred types, but 'Shadows Of My Mind' looks particularly interesting. By 'Jukebox Jury' out of a 'Midnight Legend', it is very nice breeding for a National Hunt horse. His trainer has a 22% strike rate in National Hunt flat races. Harry Swan takes the ride, which is also encouraging.

A tricky looking bumper with a number looking nice on breeding but Aeroplane Blonde by Blue Bresil out of a Fame and Glory mare catches the eye. Ran very green and keen and his first run at Newcastle on heavy ground, he should come on a lot for that and the better ground will help a lot here.

Looks very nice on breeding by Flemensfirth out of a very good Yeats mare and closely related to the very useful Baby Kate. The trainer has a very good (26%) strike rate in national hunt flat races and Patrick Mullins is booked to ride.
