Her pedigree, being by Flemensfirth and out of the brilliant mare Morning Run, would suggest she still has improvement to come. She was very promising in her early days when with Olly Murphy and has shown glimpses of that ability since being moved to Henry De Bromhead. She has not run since last September, but her trainer can be expected to have her fit for this.

Gavin Cromwell won a couple of these Punchestown Festival bumpers last year and his Bud Fox looks very interesting here. He has already won a Point-to-Point at Belharbour beating a horse who was looking like winning next time before he fell 2 out. He is by Walk In The Park, out of a Flemensfirth mare which is a very strong pedigree and he has the assistance of the best amateur rider in Derek O'Connor.

His next run was a bit disappointing, but that was only 2 weeks later, which is much too quick for a young bumper horse. He has now had a decent break and should be freshened up for this.

Double Tiger looks interesting in this good looking bumper. He is by Blue Bresil who is producing plenty of winners and he is out of a family known very well to the trainer, which goes back to Gold Cup winner Long Run. The trainer, Robert Waley-Cohen may not be a familiar name, but he is very well known in the Point-to-Point sphere and was a very good amateur rider himself. The amateur jockey James King has been booked and he is one of the best amateur riders around.

It could be worth taking a chance that Royal Infantry will be suited by the step up to 3 miles, especially at his current price. He is by Soldier of Fortune, out of a Presenting mare so there is plenty of stamina in the pedigree and his last run was promising in a Grade 1 behind Salvator Mundi. This is his second race after a wind operation which is often the best time to see improvement.

Inn At The Park was outclassed in the Albert Bartlett hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, but he has run well both times he has raced at Fairyhouse and if he can reproduce his run here in December when he was well in front of Fishery Lane, who is one of the favourites, he must have a solid chance. He isn't the quickest but this distance and testing ground will hopefully bring about his best form.

Karoline Banbou looks very overpriced at 14/1. She won her first race for Willie Mullins at this track on heavy ground by 2 lengths (eased down and could have been 10 lengths) giving 20 lbs to Place De Nation, who has since finished a 4 length 4th in the Triumph Hurdle. She then ran a good 4th in the Festival mares hurdle behind Air of Entitlement but with the extra distance and heavy ground here she has a good chance of turning the tables.

This step up in trip should be fine and Jodie Townend takes the ride again.

This doesn't look like the strongest of bumpers and with the Skeltons record in these races, Johnny Hooves looks to have a good chance. The stable jockey has gone to Haydock chasing the money for his brother in the trainers championship, but Kielan Woods is a more than able deputy and he has ridden numerous winners for the stable. The Skeltons horses are often decent prices in the morning and if fancied they tend to be backed late on, so the 4/1 seems generous.

He seems to reserve some of his best runs for this track having already run well in a bumper and winning in December over this trip and in doing so beating the likely favourite Fishery Lane. He seems to be the stable second choice based on jockey bookings but can outrun his odds.

This is a cracking 3 mile handicap hurdle and Long Draw was a strong fancy for the Pertemps at Cheltenham but didn't quite make the cut, so although he hasn't run since Boxing Day, he is bound to be fit for this, especially given his excellent trainer. Hope Street looks an obvious danger as he was being prepped to run a big race at Aintree but didn't turn up for some reason.

Big Boy Barney has got some good Irish Point-to-Point form, and his first run under rules was very promising in finishing a close 4th behind a horse who went on to run 2nd in a very hot Grade 2 Aintree bumper next time. The third in that race is a full brother to Jonbon and Douvan, so is also likely to be very useful. It is a slight worry that he has had a wind operation and wears a tongue tie, but this dry ground should help him, and his class should tell.

She was very impressive first time out under rules and then went to the very hot mares bumper at the Dublin Racing Festival where she pulled far too hard throughout the race. She still looked to hold every chance turning for home but once her chance was gone she was eased right off and can return to form at a track where she has already won.
