He is by Frankel and out of a Scat Daddy mare, so he definitely has the pedigree. The race he was fourth in first time out is working out well, with the winner finishing a close fifth in the Coventry on Tuesday.

He ran very well in the 1m 4f King George Handicap at the meeting last year, despite being placed far too far back in the field. He has won over this extended trip and should give them plenty to think about with the excellent James McDonald taking over the ride.

There is every chance that Ryan Moore will mess it up again on Reaching High. Despite his poor (some said unlucky) ride last year, I will look elsewhere. Joseph O'Brien always does well in this race, but trying to pick one from his seven entries is difficult. I like the look of Galileo Dame, who is a consistent horse and ran a nice prep race last time at Chester. He has not got a great draw in 20, but the excellent Colin Keane managed to get Nurburgring into 2nd from the same draw last year for this trainer.

Quite a few pundits are saying that Gstaad will beat Bow Echo this time, but he has a lot of ground to make up on the 2000 Guineas winner. That was Bow Echo's first run of the season, and although he was reported to be primed for that race, he can still be expected to improve further.
