Doctor Du Mesnil has got no easy task in beating The Passing Wife, who has a very decent rating of 136. But he looked like a very good horse in his bumper at Cork when he beat a horse who bolted up at Doncaster in a Grade 2 on Saturday. He was slightly disappointing on his first run when just failing to get up against Murat (a solid yardstick). The Mullins horses were needing their first runs at that time of the season, and he will improve a lot from that run. He could be worth a small interest for the Turners Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival before he runs today.
