Stephen Bunting

25 EW

@9.00

Stephen is my pick here to win this. He's on fire right now, having made both finals of the recent Players Championships, winning the second one. His opening round numbers seem to fall in line with what he threw there, showing it's going to be a challenge for anyone to beat him. I've gone each way with the favorite Littler in the other half of the draw.
19:00 Daryl Gurney vs Danny Noppert

Gurney is my pick here. Over the course of this Euro Tour, I have seen Daryl finishing slightly more often in 5 or fewer visits than Danny.
18:00 Luke Woodhouse vs Josh Rock

Luke Woodhouse

My pick is Woodhouse here. He's been playing some great darts at this Euro Tour. If he plays to the level that he has been, he can beat Josh Rock here. Josh Rock was very good against Bunting but hadn't shown that level in his opening match or at the Players Championship. Is Josh raising his level? Because I think he needs to against Luke here, who has been playing very well. 3.25 on Woodhouse looks good value to me.

The extra insurance of a +1.5 on Woodhouse looks good value here. Woodhouse has been playing great, and with what he's been showing, I can see him winning. But the handicap looks to have good value in it too at 2.2.

The overs here look to have value in it for me. Woodhouse is the underdog here, and I think he can win, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a decider here either. So, over 9.5 @ 2.1 to have value in it.
15:00 Damon Heta vs Ryan Joyce

Damon Heta

I'm going for Heta here. Heta won a couple of his legs in 4 visits in his previous match, something Ryan failed to do. Other than that, they were both in the 5/6 visit range. Should this continue, it should be enough to see Heta get through here.

Damon Heta -1.50

Heat -1.5 I believe has value at evens here. Looking at the previous match, I'd be looking for Heta to win 6-3/6-4, indicating some value to be had with the -1.5 handicap.
14:00 Daryl Gurney vs Krzysztof Ratajski

Daryl Gurney

Gurney is my pick here. With what we've seen so far in Belgium, I'm going with Gurney. If he can throw anywhere between his standing in his previous match and his first match against Callan Rydz, where he threw excellently, I think Gurney should have enough to beat Krzysztof here.
13:30 Gian van Veen vs Martin Schindler

Martin Schindler

Schindler looks value here @ 2.37. His numbers seem to show he was winning more of his legs in 5 or fewer visits than Gian was at both the Players Championships and in the previous rounds at this Euro Tour. 2.37 on Schindler here looks good.

Martin Schindler 1.50

An extra little bit of insurance on Schindler if this match goes all the way looks okay. I think Schindler can win here, appearing to win more legs in 5 or less more often than Gian in the matches so far.
12:00 James Wade vs Leon Weber

Leon Weber

I'm taking Leon Weber again here. Wade's outing against Kim Huybrechts saw him winning all his legs in 6 visits. To beat Leon here, I do believe he has to do better than that. Weber's two previous matches have shown him winning most of his legs in 5 or 6 visits. I believe there's value here in 3.4 on Weber to win.

Leon Weber 2.50

I'm happy to take the extra insurance on Leon Weber here. I think he can win a closely fought contest here, but if it doesn't go his way and it's close, this should still land.

I'm taking the overs here. I believe Weber can win here, not just push James Wade. 2.1 on the overs looks like good value to me in what I expect to be quite a close contest.

I'm taking Schindler at evens here. At the latest Players Championships, I felt they were at a similar level, but I was a bit disappointed with the numbers he produced against Martin Lukeman, finishing 6 and 7 visits. If Schindler can produce anything here close to what he did at the Players Championships, he beats that quite easily, and he had a much larger sample size, which shows he's more consistent.

I was a little surprised to see MVG wasn't the favorite here. Although he hasn't been in the best of form this year, I believe they're playing at a similar level from the latest Players Championships, with MVG having the edge. For me, he has also defeated Gian twice on the Euro Tour already this year. 2.1 on MVG here looks good value.
19:30 Stephen Bunting vs Joe Cullen

Stephen Bunting -2.50

Handicap 2-way

50 WIN

@2.20

Win

I'm expecting a commanding win here for Stephen Bunting. Over Players Championships 24 & 25, Bunting made both finals, winning the second. He won the majority of his legs in 4 or 5 visits, something Joe Cullen, I believe, would struggle to cope with. His opening match against Ian White showed this, with him winning most of his legs in 6 visits.

@1.73

I'm going with the Unders here with Bunting showing in Players Championships 24 & 25 to be winning most of his legs in 4 and 5 visits. Joe, on the other hand, seemed to be more in the 5 and 6 visit range, which was consistent with his opening round match against Ian White. If this plays to form, I'm not expecting Joe to get more than 3 legs off Bunting here.
15:00 Danny Noppert vs Dirk van Duijvenbode

Dirk van Duijvenbode

Dirk Van Duijvenbode is my pick here. Dirk has been producing some great darts lately, including a 9-darter in the recent Players Championship, backed up with his performance against the Players Championship winner, Jeffrey de Graaf, in the first round. Noppert's numbers weren't as good as Dirk's at the Players Championship, and if both play to their recent standards, I expect Dirk to win.

I think the overs here present the best value. Damon Heta's numbers at Players Championships 24 & 25 look quite similar to Christian Kist's, which suggests a close contest. So I'm taking the overs here.

I'm taking the overs here. Whilst I agree that Dave Chisnall will take this match-up, I do believe Leon Weber can get closer than the odds are suggesting here. Hence, I'm taking the overs here. Leon has a 6-4 victory over Dave Chisnall this year from June, winning 6-4.
12:30 Peter Wright vs Luke Woodhouse

Luke Woodhouse

Looks like the bookies have this as a pick 'em match-up. Going off the performances from Players Championships 24 & 25, Luke Woodhouse looks the likely winner to me here, further emphasized by his opening match against Johan Engstrom where he was finishing his legs in either 4 or 5 visits. Peter hasn't been playing bad, but I believe Woodhouse is playing the better of the two overall.

Luke Woodhouse 1.50

I'm taking the +1.5 handicap on Luke Woodhouse here. Luke Woodhouse looks to be playing the better stuff of the two lately and this adds a little security.

Mike De Decker

@1.50

De Decker looks to be playing the better of these two lately, going from the latest set of results from Players Championships 24/25 and the World Series Qualifiers. I expect it to be a reasonably comfortable win too. De Decker has won the last 3 head-to-heads. Also, 1.5 for me provides a little value.
15:00 Andrew Gilding vs Mensur Suljovic

Mensur Suljovic

Win Match 2-way

50 WIN

@2.40

Win

Neither of these two arrive here in particularly great form off the back of Players Championships 24 and 25. Both had only a solitary win in those events, but the numbers looked slightly better for Suljovic for me, with Gilding only taking a leg in each of his losses compared to Suljovic's 2 and 3 in his match-ups. Head-to-head wise, Suljovic has the better of it against Gilding, and so there appears to be value in the 2.4 on Suljovic here for me.
13:00 Luke Woodhouse vs Johan Engstrom

Luke Woodhouse -2.50

Handicap 2-way

50 WIN

@2.10

Win

I'm expecting a comfortable victory here for Luke Woodhouse. Luke's numbers at the recent Players Championships and World Series Finals Qualifiers looked pretty good, especially when compared to Johan's at the Swedish Open. Plus, all three of Johan's Euro Tour outings this year have resulted in a first-round exit, none of which covered the handicap, and one of those was against Luke Woodhouse himself.
12:00 Jermaine Wattimena vs Leon Weber

Leon Weber

Win Match 2-way

50 WIN

@3.50

Win

125

I'm going for Leon Weber here. Stats-wise from the recent Players Championships 24/25, Leon played quite well without getting the results, whilst Wattimena played at a similar level and got a couple of results. So, I have this as a pretty even contest, and given that, 3.5 looks like good value.

Leon Weber 2.50

Handicap 2-way

50 WIN

@1.67

Win

34

I think this is a closer contest than the odds have suggested. Weber's stats without picking up a win at Players Championships 24/25 were similar to that of Jermaine. So Weber with a +2.5 legs headstart looks to have value in it for me.
